If he is quick on his feet and can take down a leftist live on-air, then yes.

It isn’t hard to give a good conservative speech in front of a friendly crowd.

Walker may surprise an awful lot of people who expect him to be disparaged and minimized by the MSM.

I've watched Walker speak and he does have an attribute that may shift the paradigm in his favor.

Walker, like Ronald Reagan, has an ability to go around the MSM and speak directly to the people. I'm not claiming he is another Reagan. I'm saying I see a similar ability, which if he cultivates it, will get stronger and stronger.

SNL, John Stewart, John Oliver, Stephen Colbert. Not to mention Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit, and YouTube.

THIS is the gauntlet you have to ride through.

A coy grin and soft-spoken demeanor isnt enough when any slip becomes a trending hashtag and 15 minutes worth of jokes.

I just dont think he really knows what could come his way.

I'm telling you, he is not PRETTY ENOUGH to capture the 20-something year old Bimbo's attention! Be fair about the hair. It IS thinning and his handlers are probably working on that!!

As a Minnesotan I can attest that Pawlenty was a reasonably good Governor considering he had democrats in control of both houses of the MN legislature.

But, he is not a good at speaking and promoting the conservative principles which we need in tnis country. Consequently I cannot recall any epic battles that Pawlenty had which he championed against the DFL majority. He was more the quite type who chipped away at some of their obstructionism.

Walker, however, is a man of different characteristics. He is apparently willing to go to great lengths for causes he believes in. This was a risk which he took and was rewarded by three victories over opponents in elections - but more importantly he lifted the economy of his state out of bankruptcy. His predecessor was a corrupt politician who did not hesitate to spend money he did not have and then ‘steal’ money from other funds to cover it up.

That is why Walker is my man for now.

Walker’s not ‘pretty enough’? I think he is one handsome dude. Of course, I am a retiree and not in with the college crowd.

Pit Walker against someone like Hillary Clinton, and watch the young women switch to Walker. Or at least they will listen to him. Why would young twenty- and thirty-somethings support Hillary or any other Democrat who have put their futures in jeopardy?

The answer is a fighting candidate who will go over the heads of the news media. I think Walker has the moxie to do it.

Why give this show this power?

Because we’ve done it before. It only takes one lie, repeated over and over from any source including SNL and our side immediately abandons said candidate. It happened in 2008, again in 2012. “I heard he supports abortion”, I heard he is for citizenship for illegals”, I heard he beats his wife”, “I heard he’s a cult member”. It matters not that it is an obvious lie, the candidate is suddenly radioactive and their candidacy burns out.

The resulting balkanization of conservatives leads to the GOPe steamrolling their POS candidate into the candidacy and the democrats win again.

It seems that too many conservatives, and conservative candidates are scared to stand up and defend themselves in the face of an onslaught. Sorry guys, this is politics today, and as it has always been. It is warfare, it is down and dirty, and if you are not willing to fight at their level and win then you get the failure you ask for. If you don’t aggressively fight back, you will lose every time.

He is a contender, but he is neither Romney or Bush. One of those two will be the nominee. I suspect the particular deal has already been made.

For me right now Cruz is my first choice and Walker is my second choice then Jindal and after that probably West.

SNL made a lot of fun of Reagan and it didn’t seem to hurt him.

Reagan and his supporters stood up to the liars, didn’t roll over and ignore the lies. The GOPe twits and many conservatives wouldn’t stand up to the lies during clinton and Bush, well, that’s self-evident. He took the “high road”, wouldn’t dignify the lies by fighting back, and further created the mindset of we must be careful what we say or do to democrats because they might call us names like racist.

Reagan truly was one of a kind.

All, Let’s keep our eye on the prize.
The real prize is in 2016 keeping the presidency out of the hands of the left, which equates to any democrat in these times. To the extent we can get a true conservative installed there, that would be answered prayer. While I hope Walker and Cruz really make a good go of it, my vote will always be against the liberal-democrat and for the most conservative candidate that can win in the primary box.
