Donald Trump said Saturday that "I am not sure that I have" ever asked God for forgiveness, telling the 2015 Iowa Family Leadership Summit that "I just go on and try to do a better job from there.

"I don't think so," Trump, who is Presbyterian, said in response to the question from pollster and summit host Frank Luntz. Trump was among 10 Republican presidential candidates at the daylong event in Ames, Iowa.

Trump couldn’t win Township Dog Catcher with the campaign he’s running.

According to the FR primary, you are dead wrong.

If he is PCUSA, it is amazing that he has even heard of God. If he is PCA, he would have heard the message many times.

You didn’t read your own link:

“If I do something wrong, I think I just try to make it right,” Trump said. “I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.

“When we go into church — and when I drink my little wine, which is about the only wine I drink, and have my little cracker — I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness. I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed, OK?

“But, to me, that is important,” Trump said. “In terms of officially, I could tell you absolutely. I don’t think in terms of that. I think in terms of, ‘Let’s go on and let’s make it right.’”

He’s not claiming to be faultless.

Well, I’ll say this. He speaks his mind. For my taste, he’d be much better off confining himself to the dire situation illegals present us with. I think he has a task here for 2016. I don’t expect that to be President, but I do think he definitely needs to be in the fray to help us conclusively determine and ‘out’ who the amnesty/reform RINOs are. The added benefit is also seeing the neck veins on all the liberals and media pop out to burst-level.

2008 - Fred Thompson
2012 - Herman Cain

The FR Primary doesn’t exactly have a strong track record.

He sounds like a man putting on a charade is what he sounds like. It’s obvious that Trump worships at the church of himself. Its doctrines change with the political winds.

Trump: I Don't Think I've Ever Asked God for Forgiveness

Trump expects God to ask forgiveness from him.

“If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed...”

And....The Donald is a work-in-progress. God is far from finished with Trump.

Is Trump simply a cathartic candidate for those who hate the thought of Bush being hoisted on us? Like indulging in comfort food that tastes so good but is far from nutritional? I find Bush deplorable, but Trump is a brash poseur who’s all talk.

Po-tay-to, po-tah-to. Both arrogant men who talk a good game but in the end are totally unfitted for the position they aspire to.

You have an inherent ability to think, prioritize, and make wise or stupid decisions. If you are making stupid decisions on a regular basis...asking for forgiveness isn’t your solution. You got bigger issues.

Why would Trump ask for forgiveness from
God? As he sees it, he IS God.

This guy has a level of arrogance beyond description. Truly amazing he has the support he does.

Not a Trump supporter, yet. You made me laugh out loud, (typed it out) complaining about one man's charade.... We have a political ruling class that have done nothing else but feed off the public trough and tax US into serfdom....

I cannot tell a dimes worth of difference in, saint in the making Boehner and old man McCon from our powdered president prince. Trump is releasing pent up political gas. And thus far seeing the corrupt political class and their whores that carry their water (mass media) gasp and squirm is fun.

Trump....all talk...

That doesn't make any sense. Look at all that Trump has accomplished, and most of it during recessionary times. When he says he doesn't ask God forgiveness, I take that to mean he takes responsibility for his actions, and tries to make them right.

Trump is complex, for sure. I'd trust him to be a really good president, one reason being he has great self-awareness and would want to be the most admired President in history.
