Why? The vote is done.
Yes it was a dumb remark from a guy who should know better but look at the furor that was raised when the left took out after Sarah....oh wait..there wasn't any was there?
What we need is a debate with the tough questions are presented publicly and the candidates choose to respond, or not, and select participants from their answers.
Tough questions?
1. do you plan to terminate the illegal seizure of property by law officials of citizens’ private property?
2. do you have a plan to remove illegal aliens by motivational means to allow them to self-deport?
3. do you have some names of judges you would support as Supreme Court replacements?
4. do you have a favorite plan to diminish the effect of the federal government in citizens’ lives?
feel free to add to the list ...
It was Cruz’ rally, he spoke policy. DT showed up and talked about himself.
Cotton was the only guy to vote against that bill.
Graham and Cruz voted for it.
I don’t think you should lump Cotton in with the guys that did the opposite of him.
I don’t think the msm understand that the voters are concerned about illegal immigration— not off-handed jokes..
I agree with Donald on her face, and so does Botox Carly.
This is very uncharacteristic back peddling on the part of Trump as far as his branding in this campaign - he has now retooled his excuse on this twice.
“He is telling 2 different stories ... “
This is his third story. His first was he was commenting on her persona, not her looks. The second was he was commenting on her potential as a candidate, not her looks. Now he is claiming to be an entertainer.
“He needs to just shut up ... “
Good advice. However, this is Trump. Shutting up is not his M.O.
Trump needs to get extremely serious if he wants to lock in his gains. The non-politician percentage of the polling has been above 50% for two weeks. If Trump loses support, there are non-politicians Carson and Fiorina to pick it up, and also Cruz.
I suppose it will be a short amount of time before he uses that excuse for past remarks/positions on universal healthcare, Kim Davis, not de-funding PP, eminent domain, donating to Democrats, donating to the Clinton Foundation, donating to Al Sharpton, etc.
I think he’s discovering that in this role, a clown schtick forever isn’t working too hot.
Here’s where he needs to learn something about forgiveness (which has been a problem for him in the past). And I pray he will. He should cut the excuses short, apologize (though not grovel, which nobody is asking for) for the gaffe, and attempt to be more considerate in future.
I saw the interview on CNN with the editor of Rolling Stone. He confirms this is precisely what Trump said. The editor also pointed out that there are 2 sides to Trump: the entertainer and the businessman.

Trump: Yes. Next questions?
His in-your-face mode has been a huge plus for him with people who really loathe the smarmy media and the smarmy body politic.
But he can’t be a one note Johnny (or Donald). Sooner or later he has to change up.
Carly has replied “It just shows that I’m getting under Trump’s skin”.
Carly and Heb Bush aren’t innocent either when it comes to the Clintons. So, if you are going to rant about Trump - then they deserve equal time.
Yeah, sure.
Hey, Donald—Don Rickles is calling. He wants you to give him back the copies of all his Vegas routines.
amen
