November 2015 will be remembered as the month in which the world woke up. The year began with the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris on January 7 and 8, an atrocity which drew millions to the streets of the French capital to stand in solidarity on behalf of civil liberty and freedom of speech. Militant Islamic terrorists returned to Paris on November 13, this time leaving 130 dead and hundreds more wounded, some paralyzed for life. The Islamic State took credit for the Paris attacks just as it had for blowing a Russian airliner out of the sky over Egypt on October 31. ISIS also inspired, if it did not carry out directly, a murderous assault on a Radisson Hotel in Mali and numerous other “me-too†acts of carnage from Pakistan and Indonesia to Libya and Nigeria.
On June 10, 2014, ISIS seized the city of Mosul in Iraq and announced to the world the restoration of the Islamic Caliphate. The first Caliphate was established in the year 632 in the Arabian peninsula and was led by a series of “rightly guided†caliphs following the death of the prophet Muhammad. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, has named himself the new caliph. He has called on all Muslims to pledge allegiance to him and to support his building of a transnational Islamic empire, the success of which will usher in the end of the world.

Wars don’t generally start and stop the way we learn them in history classes. World War I arguably started long, long before Arch Duke Ferdinand was assassinated. There was a series of smaller wars leading up to it starting around 1905 between Italy and some African holdings of the Ottomans. Then there were significant conflicts in the Balkans up until 1913. Then came the assassination which “started” the bigger war, but believe me, plenty of people had already died.
World War II could also have started with the Japanese invasion of Mongolia. In the Europe it probably started with the Sudeten annexation, but I’m sure others would say earlier.
My point is that World War III has been simmering on a back burner and I’d lay the blame with Jimmy Carter helping to depose the Shah of Iran.

Why would Putin wish this. There is a constant tendency to see the apocalypse in every flurry of evil, and that’s been going on since the early church. I’m missing a part of the set-up to this. He might want to Christianize Israel, but what has it done to Russia that he wants to avenge. Please explain more.
I doubt that Russia will be involved to that extent. What's in it for them? Iran, on the other hand, has a doctrine that requires them to do so.
This is actually an extremely powerful indictment. Here’s a man who, for reasons obscure to me, but clear to him, has steadfastly worked to build bridges with terrorists putting himself in terrible danger, and even HE has concluded ISIS is evil and beyond reason or negotiation.
Which leaves people like me shaking our heads that he ever tried, but my love of my fellow man falls short of his. His conclusion carries a weight that mine wouldn’t because he’s changed his mind against his beliefs.

If that is what you mean, there are many reasons. First of all is that Putin's economy is largely dependent on energy. That is what he built the Russian recovery on.
Turkey is purchasing illegal oil from ISIS. Putin bombed their tankers after a Russian airliner was blown from the sky by ISIS. Turkey shot down the Russian fighter/bomber in retaliation. Follow the money.

That is not Putin's goal at all. He will attack Israel over its wealth, energy discoveries, and power in the region. I am in agreement with most Biblical scholars who say that the war of Gog/Magog is led by Russia.
Opposite. Russia will provoke Turkey and Islam will war with Russia.

There can be no negotiating with scum like ISIS. They need to be eradicated from the face of the earth...before they kill us.
There are also those who believe the Psalm 83 war will precede the Ezekiel war. I may or may not agree with this, and there are many factors. However, Bill Salus made an excellent case that the immediate nations surrounding Israel would be defeated in a major war first, and this war would lead to the Ezekiel war.
This theory actually would fulfill several mysteries of Biblical prophecy. Israel will have reestablish its borders as dictated by God in Genesis (and fulfilled during the reign of King David), and Israel will be a land of un-walled cities, because all of the Muslim murdering nations will have been driven out. This would also allow Israel to rebuild the Third Temple and destroy the Muslim dome of the rock on the Temple Mount.
