If you have come to the forums for ANY real, thought out positions you are barking up the wrong tree.
Challenging the programming of the media people here pretend to abhor will simply end up in a bar room insult-fest.
The way way to think about FR forums between now and next Labor Day is the bar in the VFW at 3 PM on a Tuesday afternoon. It’s not exactly the political brain-trust elite.
Then tomorrow we can ALL become Navy Seals.
It’s an anonymous message board. If anyone’s vote is going to be swayed by what is said on an anonymous message board, they aren’t going to vote for Cruz or Trump anyway.

It’s not going to stop because the Ruling Class of the GOP Establishment HATE Conservatives MORE than the Marxist Democrats do. However, the leadership has no power without it’s base - despite trying to “win” without us - so the tactic is to infiltrate, shame, bully and insult everyone who supports those whom the Establishment has not anointed.
We’re at war with Mordor on the Potomac. We have to stop thinking of the Democrats and Republicans as anything but enemies that intend to subjugate or destroy us.
Period.
No one is perfect so it’s good to know what’s up. Have to love Freedom Of Speech. I just hope all the candidates are keeping up with what is being posted on this forum because I learn something new every day.

Forgot this... I do not like it when Freepers get personal. It’s so dem. Just argue the point and quit taking it personally. This isn’t middle school.
The media keeps referring to the “hate” of Trump’s rhetoric. Try reading some of the hate thrown around just on GOP or Conservative forums towards certain GOP candidates. Its ridiculous. We have a handful of good candidates, and plenty of time for the cream to rise. This election is too important to nominate another McRomDole. We need a Leader, someone who is a very clear contrast to the socialist we will face from the left.
Let’s talk about the issues, compare and contrast candidate’s positions, but acting like the left is unacceptable. There is no reason to lie about a candidate, spread rumors, or ridicule. Conservatives are better than that. I have challenged people on other forums to stop that type of behavior, and often questioned their true intentions and loyalty.
There are a few GOP candidates I would never support. But I do not “hate” them, and I bet there might be one or two issues where we could find common ground. I look forward to more debates and the primaries. And I hope by the time Texans vote, the nominee has not been picked for us by the GOPe or the media.
Personally, I thought the 2012 and 2008 election cycles were MUCH worse than this one.
Free Republic is a lively non PC site. Not for the faint of heart can’t we all get along Nancy boys/girls. :-)
I like both Trump and Cruz so all of the antagonism between the true believers doesn’t persuade me against either candidate. Either one works for me. None of the others do at all.
