JANUARY 22, 2016 ~ CONSISTENTCONSERVATIVES
This is an emergency means for us to keep in touch with our FRiends, who are real Conservatives, in case of purging. Or, if there is no purging, do we really want to continue our discussions in the forum where the owner despises us for not supporting his non-Conservative candidate?
My purpose is to figure out what to do to continue our discussions to advance Conservatism.
Oh and these folks will gladly tell you that this does not happen, and that it’s Trump supporters doing it!
This stuff originated with them back last November, and their belittling, snide comments, virtue signaling, and sanctimonious grand standing only intensified until, as I predicted last December, that they would go to far and get banned, especially after twice demanding that FR kick off Trump supporters for no other reason than they deemed us “fake conservatives”. Now they are just reduced to calling us cultists, and getting in the face of the site owner.
Is there an equivalent series of behaviors from Trump people that has led to the type of mass meltdown that occurred on Sat? Absolutely not!
The only thing that hasn’t happened yet are them personally threatening people physically, although fomenting a plot against FR certainly is right up there. They will seek to destroy FR if they can’t take it over through threats and intimidation.
Things may get worse before they get better. Bring it! How did I miss this mass meltdown Saturday?

I’ve already donated to both and had a Cruz bumpersticker made in 2013 for my pickup and it’s still on it
I prefer Trump because of his fight and he’s no politician and he is aware of the top clear and present danger issues and addresses them politically incorrect and doesn’t care

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Every major election cycle we end up with some pearl-clutchers who think that the world is allied against them, that only THEY and their political messiah of choice is the One True Defender of the Conservative Faith.
What I think is a little different this election cycle is the sheer amount of political money running around without much use. The TV ads aren’t working, and there are only so many pop ups to be bought. A poster upthread noted how certain accounts seem to post in coordination, but never post on holidays. Hmmmm.
The question we should all be asking is “who benefits” from the discord? I don’t think it’s either of the frontrunner candidates. Sooner or later they need to unify the conservative base in order to win. No, this stinks of gop-e or ‘rat operatives. And they’re going to try to cause as much damage as they can while they’re here or as they are summarily shown the door.
My suggestion to fellow posters is to take a few deep breaths. This election has been going in earnest for six months now and at this point, most of those posting here have their preferences set. And all the arguments any of us can muster are unlikely to change those preferences. We’re really just waiting to see who wins.
If you run into disruptors, hit the abuse button.

We know for fact Trump ran as the Reform party candidate in 2000. Do you really believe he was registered as a Republican when he did?
So no, I don’t have a lot of faith in that “document” until it comes from an official source.

Trump’s art of the deal is take what he thinks is an extreme position to open the “negotiation” and then when he gives some and the other party gives some he closes the deal closer to what he wanted than what the other party wanted.
The problem with that is “build the wall” and deport all the illegals is his opening position. When he gets done with the actual “deal” it will be something less than that. Perhaps a lot less than that... And the same goes for his other initial positions - nearly all of which were prepared for this election cycle and have little to do with his past positions.
That’s how I see it anyway.
