Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh said Tuesday that Donald Trump lost the Iowa caucus because his criticism of Ted Cruz made him sound "like a liberal Democrat."
"I don't think Trump skipping the debate had a thing to do with what happened last night," began Limbaugh. "This is a Republican primary. It's Iowa. Conservatives win in Iowa."
"Donald Trump, I don't know if you forgot - one thing that everyone remembers - he went out and tried to criticize Ted Cruz," explained the talk-show host.
"Ted Cruz isn't the enemy," he continued. "Hillary Clinton is the enemy. Ted Cruz is not a nasty guy. Ted Cruz is not a Canadian."
"Nobody is going to believe that, especially when you offer that criticism sounding as though it could come with Bernie Sanders. In a Republican primary, you do not win if you're going to sound like a liberal democrat criticizing Ted Cruz."
Rush is right. I switched to Cruz when the stuff with Trump happened. Cruz is not the enemy.
Rush thinks Rubio is a conservative. WOW. I never listen to any of them unless I am in the car and this confirms why.
I’m shocked Limbaugh would say this about his guy. But why should it be a knock against a liberal Democrat to act like a liberal Democrat. You don’t get all upset when a dog acts like a dog?

He’s been covering up for and supporting Trump all along.

Trump supporters have been bashing anyone that does not support Trump as GOPe, establishment or RINOs - Sowell, Levin, now Rush, etc. I don’t think it occurs to them that all of those people are still as conservative as ever - THEY are the ones who have abandoned conservatism to follow Trump.
There’s a question a left-wing Democrat would ask.

Rush is wrong. Trump lost because he got off message.
So you don’t know what he would replace it with. No matter what you do you have 20-30% of the people who are now uninsurable. How do you insure them? How is he going to fix the broken system?
Guess it is easier to just say Trump is for Single Payer even if he is not.
