[6/18/2012] Donald Trump Calls President Obama's Immigration Move "Political" [opposed deporting]
Fox News ^ | 6/18/2012 | Fox and Friends

Posted on 02/27/2016 9:03:23 PM PST by JediJones

Trump: ...But something has to be done with respect to immigration. As they said during the Republican debates, I think most of them agreed, really, you have people that have been here for 20 years, they speak the language, some of them don't even speak Spanish, but they speak the language. It's very, very tough, I mean on a human basis, on a lot of other bases, uh, to be throwing people out...

Kilmeade: If you're Donald Trump, how do you play this?

Trump: Well, it's a very complicated subject and you don't just play it one way, but for people that have been here for years that have, y'know, been hard workers, have good jobs, are supporting a family, it's very, very tough to just say, by the way, y'know, 22 years, you're getting, you have to leave, get out!

...

I'm one of the world's very conservative people but I have to tell you, on a human basis, how do you throw somebody out that's lived in this country for 20 years?

...[Romney talk]...

Doocy: ...What will hundreds of thousands of work permits do to unemployment and the economy at large?

Trump: Well, obviously, you know, the concept is that, uh, you throw everybody out and everybody else gets a job, but it doesn't work that way. And a lot of the jobs that these people have, a lot of other people don't want. ... Whether it's picking grapes or doing something else, you have jobs that a lot of people aren't going to want. So I don't think...it's as complicated as that. But we really have to come up with a solution. And we also have to have a solution with compassion. We have to show some compassion. We just can't throw everybody out.

It’s horrifying and disturbing but Trump gets a pass on everything from the Trumpers here.

They are not even ashamed of it.

Trump’s campaign has a lot of verve, no question about it. But doesn’t having a slick, smooth-talking, charismatic candidate mean we should analyze what he says even more deeply? When somebody’s a good salesman, do you buy the product solely on the basis of how much you like the guy or do you actually investigate the product? Obviously, salesmanship works...and people often get stuck with bad products as a result.

“Oh my God. I was standing up and nearly fell over! Not.
This is 2016 for any of you who are interested.”

I say the same to you...so 2012 is so long ago...when Trump blasted Romney for being too tough on immigration, blamed it for his loss, and pushed the GOP to adopt ‘comprehensive immigration reform’ to improve its standing with “Hispanics and Asians.” What about how he continued to support it all the way up until June 2015, until he decided he would run for the Republican nomination for President and switched his marketing campaign?

https://youtu.be/Enw6Yx19qSg?t=7s

http://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/trump-backed-amnesty-for-illegals-as-recently-as-june/

http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/Donald-Trump-Ronald-Kessler/2012/11/26/id/465363/

So based on your standard, Trump should get a pass all the way up until June 2015 just before he announced for President (because this is now 2016), and also get a pass for pushing the GOP a few years ago to adopt “comprehensive immigration reform” because that was too long ago...so Rubio gets a pass for Gang of 8 because “this is now 2016”? That was back during the same time period when Trump was pushing that kind of a policy for the GOP to supposedly improve its image. Or Rubio doesn’t get a pass for it but Trump does because Trump is Trump and it is 2016 and what Trump believed and advocated for prior to 2016 doesn’t count, but everything another candidate did prior to 2016 does count because they aren’t Trump?

Well, it sure looks like the best chance to get “We The People” interes-TED again (in git-r-done, not in plaster saint worship).

Fault Trump for much, but not for being boring. Nowhere near all he has proposed would need to get underway for his presidency to be a booming success.

Ted couldn’t even say the word DEPORT two months ago. You want to talk about changing stances on immigration?

Crying hypocrisy when your neck deep in it doesn’t play well.

Will it be the first broken promise, the second?

How many will it take?

Don’t come crying to us, Trumpers.

How could anyone be more RINO liberal than:

-signing a liberalized California abortion law - 1967
https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=yAlJAAAAIBAJ&sjid=dAUNAAAAIBAJ&pg=5620%2C3433380

-giving amnesty to millions of illegal aliens in America - 1986
https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=Z7M0AAAAIBAJ&sjid=YCEGAAAAIBAJ&pg=7219%2C665572

-endorsing the Brady bill against the 2nd amendment - 1991
https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=UpwzAAAAIBAJ&sjid=0TIHAAAAIBAJ&pg=3945%2C5172761

-coming out in support of NAFTA - 1992
https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=q0dQAAAAIBAJ&sjid=11UDAAAAIBAJ&pg=3988%2C3599740

Yet Ronald Reagan did all of those things.

Ronald Reagan was no Ronald Reagan after he performed all of those liberal actions. ;-)

Name a liberal action the Trump took that is more RINO liberal than those Reagan actions.

No one is a perfect conservative. Not even Ronald Reagan.

Yes and I’m furious about it. Irving had one huge mosque on the west side of town almost in the country. It was the mosque that was home to Clock Boy. Remember him?

I’ve just learned that they are clearing land to build another mosque in central Irving.

But why do you think Trump will do anything about that.

He’s got women to chase and casinos to build.

Not true. Cruz said in his Senate campaign he would deport illegals and in an interview during the Dreamer/DACA controversy that he would deport “Dreamers.”

Let the existing Muslims shuffle themselves around in America all they want.

Trump wants no more imports till the security situation has been cleared up.

There is no question in my mind that Ted Cruz is more conservative than Ronald Reagan.

Ted Cruz is by far the best candidate.

He’s kept the promises he made to get elected to the Senate.

The Donald has no record at all. He’s been a poor hand at business, wheeling and dealing and ending up with the same amount of money he inherited, except adding lawsuits and bankruptcies to the mix.

I do not worship Ted Cruz. He’s no plaster saint. He’s a true conservative with a record that speaks to that.

So, yeah, have fun now.
