Poll: Nearly Half Of Republican Women Wouldn't Vote For Trump
By GABBY MORRONGIELLO 3/24/16
A new survey of women voters suggests a general election contest between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton could be disastrous for the Republican Party.
Nearly half of the female Republican electorate (47 percent) currently has a difficult time imagining voting for Trump as the Republican presidential nominee, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
Far fewer say the same of Trump's two remaining opponents, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (32 percent) and Ohio Gov. John Kasich (27 percent).
Trump also has the worst favorability rating among female voters overall of any remaining Republican presidential hopeful. Seventy percent of women voters harbor negative views of the brash New York billionaire, compared to just 21 percent who view him favorably.
Moreover, the tendency among women voters to lean Democratic became even more pronounced when they were asked to consider a Trump versus Clinton matchup. In that scenario, 31 percent of women would vote for Trump, while 58 percent would choose Clinton.

Cannot deny it.
Trump beats hillary in a landslide.
Not buying it.
Trump can’t bring those numbers up. He would have to make serious changes and stay off twitter. I think his record is about 48 hours?
Calling fellow candidates liars, perverts, “little” and losers is not a positive plan or winning strategy no matter how his base enjoyed it. Likewise dissing Kelly on twitter over 100 times and every other commentator who said something he did not like, his Nixonian proposal to change libel laws for his personal use to sue reporters not presidential or helpful no matter how his base cheered him on.
His misogyny, yes, I used that word, is so well documented and will feed hours of ads for the dems to run against him, not helpful. Does not matter that his base will scream NO! His words speak for themselves.
In the last 48 hours he has lost tons of people who would have voted for him if he were to get to 1237 delegates that now won’t.
That’s before you ever get to policy.
Cruz, the rising of the priesthood, mormon prophecy fulfilled is the answer, right? Yes, that will go over real well. You seem to be quite a self-righteous, all-knowing, pseudo-intellectual, so I can understand why you like Teddy.
I get your point. Anyone who exposes Trump as a con man and artist is a pseudo-intellectual!
Brilliant piece of Trumpism. Thanks for your lucid posts.
We may be in for a disaster. That is the way it goes...with McStupid, Mittens and then maybe Donald. It’s the GOP way. : )
“So a majority will vote for him”
Kind of like the “majority” that voted for Obama?
Then it's up to; 'us the people', as to how hard we want to hit back and where this will end.
Take your pick; cheat Trump out of the nomination and Republican candidates lose 10-20% of their normal votes; it will be a tsunami in reverse with the House, Senate, Presidency, and Supreme Court going Democrat for the foreseeable future.
You forgot the Builderburgers. Are your real men going to slay them, too?
Sheesh.
You are right.
I’m fairly certain they are just going to vote- this time.
Are the baby-burgers going to stand in line... like the Indies did, for 5 hours to vote, only to learn that they can’t vote, because they are registered Independents, and the election is a closed primary? They’ll be back in November, and it’ll be in greater numbers.
Not sophisticated enough for ya’? meh We’ll see.
yeah. Keep telling yourself that.
The Walking Ted.
I don’t know what to make of polls like that. There are literally thousands of screaming women at Trump rallies.
Who are those folks?
The Wall Street Journal sees the public as STUPID SHEEP. Evidently they think that people have no mind of their own, and are incapable of making independent decisions, and are only capable of copy-cat actions.
I am a woman, and I will vote for Trump whether the WSJ likes it or not! I really don’t give a flip who votes for him or who doesn’t. I vote my own conscience, not somebody else’s.
I don’t buy the BS that you should vote for this one or that one because if you don’t, you wasted a vote. Why? Because that’s exactly the kind of stupidity the WSJ is accusing people of. If people have their own minds, and they vote for the candidate they really DO want, even if they have to write the name in, then elections would come out a whole lot different than they do.
I am SO Glad the Donald is running for president. Whether or not he wins is irrelevant at this point in time. The fact of the matter is, he managed to open a can of worms and it’s going to be darned difficult to regather them, and stuff them back into the can.
It’s up to us folks. Either we allow the wussies to control us, or we control ourselves and make this country do what it should be doing.
Look at the panic in the faces of those who think they might have lost their last rope! Look at the evil spilling out of those who are so afraid to loose their power and the wallets that go with it.
Look at the panic at the thought that we might actually be able to reduce government, and restore the tax payer’s money back to them.
Thank you Donald! Whether you win or you loose, you succeeded in changing some things that needed changing. Others will follow in your footsteps.
GOOD JOB!
47% of Republican women have democrat husbands who won’t let them vote for Trump.
