Congratulations to our presumptive nominee, Donald Trump!

Congratulations to our presumptive nominee, Donald Trump!

Great job in New York and throughout this campaign. Cruz and Kasich are now mathematically eliminated and just like all the others who were mathematically eliminated should concede and drop out so we can all unite behind our nominee and prepare to defeat the godless America-hating traitor Hillary Clinton in November.

As conservatives and patriots, it's time to put bruised egos behind us, heal our differences and act united in the best interests of our nation. The media and the GOPe will try to keep us divided, of course, but we must not fall for their treasonous tricks.

A divided Republican party will ensure Hillary waltzes into the White House in November.

Freedom is never more than one generation from extinction. Hillary would be a third term for Obama and would complete his mission of completely destroying America.

Do not let freedom expire on our watch!!

I'm praying this forum and our loyal members will now be shifting into high gear to defend our freedom by uniting against the treasonous enemy within.

Let's get Trump over the 1237 mark and finally take the GOPe completely out of the picture!!

Then onward to the presidency in November!!

Correction. He asked both sides to stop attacking on a personal ad hominem level.

There was a fairly equal number on both sides that did not comply.

I agree it’s time to get behind our candidate, but, Cruz’s ego doesn’t allow him to drop out - nor does Kasichs. They both want a contested convention, which is tearing our party apart. Neither are patriots if they keep up this childish game, and show that they only care about themselves and not the country.

They’re not stupid, here’s where we see the power of the globalist big money GoPe, they’re both neck deep in it, can’t get out.

I noticed all of these unknown names with ancient sign-up dates, many or most trumpistas, and posted a few times about them. Checked their posting records, and they were SPARSE, or almost non-existant. Anyway, FR has really taken a turn for the worse since Trump. There is an evil odor in the air now.

Just as principled as all the Trumpkins who swore to sit out or go third party if Cruz gets the nomination. At least I am not threatening to vote for the Dems, like a lot of Trumpkins are.

Sorry, there is ZERO equivalence between bullying Cruz blacklists and a heavily financed Never Trump campaign vs. whatever a few Trumpers said on the internet.

Frankly, I don’t care what Cruzers do. History will be their judge. Right now the only thing that matters is beating Hillary and stopping the invasion.

“I know you are but what am I”? Seriously? That’s your comeback? This is exactly the sort of thing I was referencing in my prior post, if you need an illustration ;)

This, unfortunately, is what I’ve come to see as well. I was reading today the ‘other site’ which some people left here to create, and they’re actually making fun of Trump supporters as having ‘low IQs’. That doesn’t bear out my experience of the many very intelligent and eloquent supporters of Trump. It also isn’t very fair to the hundreds who have engaged in these discussions without ever becoming nasty, but have nevertheless been on the receiving end of unprovoked nastiness.

I cannot understand that people will take politics so much to heart that they become mean toward others because of it. It’s ridiculous, and very small. One would think that those of ‘elevated IQ’ would know better, and be too intelligent to succumb to the uselessness of ‘throwing rocks’ back.

Sorry, there is ZERO equivalence

Of course, everything Cruz and his supporters do is evil and despicable, while everything Trump and his supporters do is pure and virtuous... Keep telling yourself that, but it isn't going to get anyone other than the current cultists to vote Trump.

I am reminded that "the people" chose Saul.....he too was a 'shiny' individual the people believed should be 'their' choice....God however had someone else in mind.....Saul didn't last long and it was not long before David was ultimately crowned King....just as God determined.

And I am reminded that Zedekiah got Israel erased because he wouldn't accept Nebuchadnezzar was God's choice to rule over the nation.

Yet your ilk were the ones who told us to ‘get in line’ and vote for Romney.

I don’t care if you vote or not, but don’t be a hypocrite like you are being.

To have Trump join Moral Monster Mitt Romney (M3R) ride the lightning, I would press one but not if I or even you had to ride with them. That would be frowned upon by my Catholic Faith.

Nebuchadnezzar’s rule was a punishment for the children of Israel. If you are suggesting that electing Trump would be a punishment to the USA, I agree.

I beg your pardon? And just what is my ‘ilk’? I told NO ONE to vote for Romney. How DARE you call me a hypocrite when you know nothing about my conduct during the ‘12 election save who I voted for.

Do you have something substantive to offer, or do you just want to lash out?

For the good of Free Republic it is necessary to have a clear understanding of the ground rules for posting and replying.

For the record some time ago I stipulated that I would support Trump if he were to win the nomination. I was motivated by the same logic that motivates your vanity today, that it would be a disaster for any Democrat, especially Hillary, to become President of the United States, a calamity from which this Republic might not recover.

That means that I will support Donald Trump if nominated but also Ted Cruz, Kasich or even some more extreme Rino. By this logic which our previous exchange demonstrates that we share, I think it is reasonable to ask, is Free Republic committed to support Ted Cruz if he were to be nominated at the convention? Would those who refuse to support Ted Cruz under those circumstances be suspended from Free Republic?

Meanwhile, what are the ground rules for expressing an opinion on Free Republic? Are we absolutely verboten to express any opposition to Donald Trump? Are we forbidden from expressing any support of Ted Cruz? Are we free generally to advance positions that are contrary to Donald Trump's? Are we free to urge Donald Trump while a candidate to change his stated policy positions? Are we obliged to support both the man and his policies or remain silent? Are we enjoined the from criticizing the nominating process as process? For example, may we defend the caucus system if it is criticized by Donald Trump? Must we simply accept in silence Donald Trump's definition of trade as proper conservatism?

Are we free to criticize the campaign of Ted Cruz but not to defend him against that criticism? In other words between now and the convention in July, assuming Trump cannot obtain 1237 in the meantime, will it be open season on Cruz defenders as well as open season on Cruz himself? Will administrators finally step in to defend the forum against the flood of personal invective that we have seen lately? As one who has consistently opposed zotting and those who have demanded zotting as a means of censoring Cruz supporters, I nevertheless see no free-speech problem in maintaining good order as would a judge who properly maintains decorum in his courtroom.

This is your forum and you can do with it as you please, that is not at issue. However, decency requires that those of us who have committed to support the Republican nominee, including Donald Trump, should be advised of the parameters of free speech on Free Republic.

Don’t forget God didn’t want Israel to have a king at all, it was their choice against God’s wishes.

Your ditribe is interesting but you didn't answer the question. Perhaps that's because he hasn't done a damned thing to make changes other than to write a couple of books (probably ghost-written). He hasn' been in the fore front encouraging change other than change that benefits "Trump".

As far as Hillary...I feel the same about her as I do for Trump. Fortunately, in my state when it comes to voting I will have other choices.

You caved and voted for Romney, now that the candidate he supports (Cruz) may not win you are sitting out.
