One out of every 40 people in America lives in New York City. The area's population is 8.4 million, more than in 39 other states. For every vote cast for Donald Trump in the city last Tuesday, more than four were cast for Hillary Clinton; she earned 79 percent of the vote.
In the wake of Trump's victory, thousands of protesters crowded the streets of Manhattan (where Trump got fewer votes than he did on Staten Island, where the population is a third smaller) outside Trump Tower. It's hard to know how many were there, but let's assume it was 5,000 people. That would mean that a fraction of a percent of the city took time to ride the train in and make their voices heard, assuming no one came in from anywhere else. Protests of thousands of people in New York really aren't that uncommon, which could have been a reasonable thing to point out if you wanted to brush the event away.
That's not the angle that Trump and his supporters took. Instead, the president-elect and his backers decided to dismiss the protests in New York and other cities cities that contain hundreds of thousands of people who mostly voted against Trump as being the work of paid protesters. In a tweet, Trump decided that the professional protesters, in his formulation, were also incited by the media, which doesn't make much sense.

“above The perfect argument for Electoral college “
To get rid of the Electoral College, you need a Constitutional amendment, which requires ratification by 38 states. It will great fun to remind the 39 states referenced above that if they do ratify said amendment, they can all enjoy being outvoted in Presidential elections by New York City.
I have been to a fair number of demonstrations, and have noticed the stark difference in the way participants on both sides express themselves through both in-demonstration behavior, and the signs carried to express their point of view.
I took the time to document it a couple of years ago as shown below. I took two pictures, one showing a large gathering of liberals, and one showing a large gathering of conservatives.
Here is an example of what the liberal protesters carry when they want to make a point. This analysis was from the Antiwar protesters at The Gathering of Eagles on March 17, 2007. What you see in this picture is absolutely, 100% TYPICAL.
Here is an example of what the conservative protesters carry when THEY want to make a point. This analysis was from the Taxpayer March on Washington on 9/12/2009. What you see in this picture is absolutely, 100% TYPICAL.
Conservatives not only show wit and originality in the content of the materials they use to express themselves, but also spend time making them both readable and legible. They take pride in their handiwork, and they can do this because they have a deeper understanding of the issue at hand.
Liberals often have mass printed signs that lack originality and wit in an attempt to ensure everyone has a sign (created by someone else) that says something that the "someone else" want them to express. When you see liberals carrying their own handmade signs, they often look like this, poorly lettered and shallow in content:
I have seen this contrast over and over again. What I have concluded from this is that while liberals may have some form of conviction about a subject, it is because they want to believe something they have been told without thinking it through. Most of them have an "understanding" of an issue that is a foot wide and a fraction of an inch deep. They will doggedly stay within that framework regardless of facts and logic, and their expression of that viewpoint in their signs and banners illustrates a lack of depth, understanding and originality.
What a concept!

Remember Kent State
They are still desperately searching for the new lie to tell. The media is a pack of dogs sniffing each other’s ass saying “You got a new lie? I don’t. Hey who has a new lie?”
Well done. Another fact is that as difficult as it is to prove, most if not all liberal protesters were hired through ads in local papers or from increasingly various and sundry websites. I saw this trend back when the first rallies were held against commercial salmon fishermen in WA State in the ‘70s and later during the protests against logging in the Pac NW in the ‘80s.
Conservatives are, as far as I’m aware, all volunteers and are not paid, nor do they get their own lawyers and bail funds if arrested.
I do remember Kent State, in fact, I remember it VERY well.
The difference is that there was a nexus between the assemblies at Kent State and the policy of the government. Whether cursing at soldiers and behaving in a challenging or threatening manner towards them is covered under “peaceably to assemble” is dubious (and it was certainly unwise), but that the crowds had a grievance to bring to the attention of the government is beyond dispute.
These mobs have no legitimate grievance with any act of the government. They have a grievance with our exercise of our sovereignty.
Thank you - very well done.
Because they are.
Becaue they are.
Simple questions for the Wash Post.
Why do so many of the “protestors” carry professionally printed signs saying the same things?
Why is the Wash Post suppressing the information “Answer” involvement in organizing these “protests”? Why has the Wash Post done no reporting on who ANSWER is and, more importantly, who funds ANSWERS protests?
Why is there a complete lack of diversity in this “spontaneous protest” movement. These protests are mostly young college/high school age children with a sprinkling of professional protestors from the usual far Left political groups like Code Pink. Why are the vast majority of average Americans simply ignoring these supposed “spontaneous” protests?
This article is another example of why 70% of US Voters say the “News media” is biased.
It Looks Like George Soros is Funding the Trump Protests Just Like He Funded the Ferguson Riots
The LSM is really going down swinging.
But it seems no one is talking about WHO'S PAYING FOR ALL THOSE BUSES..!
Very interesting..!! Much thanks to you for all that work..!!
Did not read all the comments but I guess you know this should have had a “barf” alert with it.
Consider the source of course. I’d like them to deny the lines of busses and the FACT that in at least Oregon a large group of the “protesters” were from out of state and of course about half did not vote.
Might have something to do with the Craigs list ads offering pay for protests !”””
Many Hillary supporters are so emotional, they are unable to think about the facts...
However-—here’s something for Trump & a NEW IRS director to work on:
It is Federal law that anyone who is NOT an employee with taxes & Soc Sec being withheld, that earns over $600 in a year must be issued a form 1099 to record these earnings.
Soooo—IF these angry darlings are being paid, then who ever is doing the distribution of such money is required to get the correct information & send a 1099 to the recipient, the state, & the Federal Government, no later than Jan 31 of the following year.
Fines for failing to do so are $5000 for EACH form.
Then Trump has not only the organization that is paying these jerks & causing all the damages, etc, but he will have the name, address & social security number of every person getting paid.
That is, of course, IF those forms get done at all.....
