It Took Three People Two Months to Create Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Logo
Washington Free Beacon ^ | March 30, 2017 | Brent Scher

Hillary Clinton's infamous campaign logo was created by a three-person team of designers who were invited to work on the "secret" design project four months before the official campaign launch in April 2015, according to a recently published essay written by the lead designers.

Michael Bierut's essay, "I'm With Her: What I learned designing a logo for Hillary Clinton," was published in the Design Observer. It chronicles the timeline of his involvement with Clinton's campaign—from the excitement of learning that his logo was chosen, to the heartbreak of Clinton's electoral defeat, and further to his decision to wear the logo at the January "Women's March" in Washington, D.C.

I did notice that this time around she completely dropped the ‘Rodham’ part of her name. I guess she finally realized that using the ‘Clinton’ name and ole BJ were the only ways she would even get close to winning a presidential election.

Translation: She could not do it on her own.

It took them two months to come up with a hospital sign as her logo?

Probably millions of dollars too... Trump saved a bundle by saying let's 'Make America Great Again'... then looked up and said, "sounds like a slogan we can use". Different styles - one stupid - one pure genius.

Best part was when Trump destroyed that slogan by merely saying “I’m with you”.

Funny isn't it? Hospitals have used it for years. But with Hillary's health issues it was a good logo for her!

Hope they were paid by the job instead of by the hour. Either way she was ripped off.

I know of a certain public TV network that allegedly paid 80k for a logo scribbled on a piece of paper that was universally hated.

The designer of said logo was also a lobbyist with influence in the capital.

I believe the source myself.

I was a successful, self-employed commercial print broker for years. I've created hundreds of new logos for my printing customers. Some simple, some more involved. But most were made up overnight or over a weekend of throwing ideas down on "paper" (computer screen), sleeping on it and revising them, if necessary.

My customers were presented with two to four options to select from. Sometimes the customer wanted some revisions, but usually they went with one of my designs and color schemes. I then created the artwork layouts of their stationary, business cards, etc. for their company, using the new logo. Using the artwork I created, I had wholesale printers print the products for me.

And I have no background in designing or training in art. As in zero.

Companies spending hundreds, thousands and millions for a logo are throwing money down a rathole. It's not rocket science.

Big deal. It took two years and several hundred people to change the Digital Equipment Corp. logo (DEC) from blue to the color of dried blood. Total cost: about $200M. DEC, whose share hit $199 at one time, went out of business in 1998.

Three people, two months. And the result looks like a graffiti struck hospital sign? Funny!

Better(?) if the arrow had been blue and the H had been red.

It’s hilarious the arrow pointed RIGHT.

Bierut then was given the opportunity to pitch the logo directly to Clinton, who he found to be "brilliant," "genuine," and "one of the best listeners" he had ever met.
Here is a photo of him

The reason you focus-group this sort of stuff is so you can actually find out what Joe Voter sees in a symbol instead of what the self-proclaimed Kewl Kidz think that he ought to see. For this and a hundred other reasons Hillary was drastically out of touch with - dare I use the word? - normal people. She certainly doesn’t know any personally.
