Gas prices may be on the rise following the U.S. airstrike in Syria.
Oil prices hit a one-month high on Friday after the United States fired missiles at a Syrian government airbase, sending shockwaves through global markets and raising concerns that the conflict could spread in the oil-rich region. As of Friday morning, the average per-gallon price for gasoline was $2.39, or an increase of about one penny from Thursday, according to gas tracking site GasBuddy.

Is that why they call it hedging your bet? It may or may not???
But just in case I think I will get my overhead diesel and "L" tank filled up. Oh, and my gas cans.
Never know when we may have gas lines next from this media
Not including the airbase they occupy and a deep water port in the Med. That is important to the Ruskies.
bs....we are shipping oil OUT of the US.
Gas prices always go up as we head into the summer months.
My thoughts exactly! Guess we both learned something new today!
Amazing how this is supposed to turn us away from Trump; but more amazing is that some here are turning away (if indeed they ever were with trump) over a few cents at the pump. We paid $4.00 when Barry was in office and got zero nada for it.
This is no more than a lame excuse to raise prices. Most of our oil comes from domestic and North American sources these days any how. How much oil does Syria produce? Last I heard it was next to nothing.
In terms of California at least the millions of illegals that drive there will be compelled to pay the tax as well. Then again, if they weren’t there there’s a good chance you wouldn’t need the tax to begin with because all of the welfare money being spent on their anchors could have been directed towards infrastructure.
America is awash in gasoline and refiners don’t want to cut runs while crude is cheap.
We export oil now so that is why prices will go up.
Have to drive into the city of Houston once a week from the suburbs. The guy who aligns and balances my tires has suddenly become my best friend. In our area we are starting to get some serious depressions in several of our more heavily traveled thoroughfares. Some of the major ones used to be two lanes in each direction but were forced to one lane after the addition of lots and lots of bike lanes in each direction.
Yeah, and you know why they will jump? because it’s f*cking April! Every year in April and May gas prices go up.
This year is different. Trump is president. During the reign of obamma, they never once told us that prices were going up. This year, 2 weeks ago, on the news - gas prices will go up. Never fails.
F*ck the media.
Syria has no oil. Fake News!
Going to rise based upon ‘summer blend’ being brought to market. Other reasons maybe there also
Clinton instituted environmental standards that require 17 different grades for the summer. Where I live, halfway between a large metropolis, and a smaller city, there are three grades: metropolis, city, and rural. In the winter, gas stations can fill their tanks from the cheapest supplier. In the summer, they can only fill from the "rural" supplier, if he has any. It's simple economics - the law of supply and demand. When you decrease the suppliers, the price goes up.
No, it’s just the obvious extension of the title.
Prices may or may not go up. Another words, there’s simply no story here.
It’s a complete fabrication.
Jerry Brown Assad and democrat allah party has already raised gas and car registration taxes...
