Send up? If it had been more about Hunter Thompson instead of someone no has heard of or gives a damn about, plus maybe using an editor to shrink the article down into something less monotonous. it could pass as an obscure time waster. But as for being a send up, what exactly is being sent up? One assumes it is true.
The whole article is a fine read. I might have to dig out my old copy of Fear and Loathing and give it another go through.
I don’t know what’s more pathetic, the ultra rich “mark” or the author attempting to ride the coat tails of HST...
But i did get a tingly feeling when my leg fell asleep reading this on the throne.
Takimag is a gem...a site unafraid to take on the truth of race head-on.
On a warm San Franciscan night.
Very interesting. Thanks for the link. My relative’s father was the only medical person in Las Vegas in the 1940’s, once there were coal miners in the area that needed a doctor. In 1995 I asked him, “What do you think of Las Vegas today?” He said, “Vegas is a wonderful town. I still go to the same Catholic church on the Strip.”
Thompson was crazy and died young because of his sins. Funding a large gay club in Vegas will drive out families. Amazon bought Zappo’s in 2009? So that’s why looking at shoes on Amazon is smooth.
Tony Hsieh’s projects will fail: everyone needs and wants boundaries.
It’s OK son, we’re not like THE OTHERS.
I didn’t tell him about the manta bats
I figured he’d see them himself soon enough.
yes it is interesting Taki is a boring name dropper, but the rest are rather interesting

What do they have to do with this story?
As far as the story itself, it was too hard to follow............Can you give me a synopsis?
Joe Bob is a very funny satirist. You have to understand that to fully appreciate his writing. He used to be the Dallas Morning News’ Drive-IN Movie Critic if you know what I mean—and I’m sure you do.
yup he is a funny guy. A fine sense of the absurd and good sense of what used to be called common sense
