Anatomy of a Sting: Robert Mueller Likely Used FBI and Foreign Intel to Set-Up George Papadopoulos

Full Title: Anatomy of a Sting: Robert Mueller Likely Used FBI and Foreign Intel to Set-Up George Papadopoulos in July 2017

The Daily Caller has learned that a man named Charles Tawil gave Papadopoulos $10,000 during a meeting in an Israeli hotel room in July 2017.

Papadopoulos gave the money to an attorney in Greece before traveling back to the U.S., a source told TheDCNF on the condition of anonymity. Papadopoulos was arrested at Dulles International Airport on a return trip from overseas on July 27, 2017. (read more)

Do you see what they did there?

The $10k payment to Papadopoulos was almost guaranteed to be a sting operation; a set-up.

Federal agents were waiting for Papadopoulos at the airport upon his arrival and re-entry into the U.S. If Mr. Papadopoulos had carried that $10k into the U.S. without declaring a U.S. treasury filing, the FBI/DOJ would have nailed him on a treasury violation.

Bringing $10,000 (or more) cash into the U.S., without reporting, is major trouble; add into that aspect the likelihood the set-up included use of an intelligence asset, and the issue can be compounded into laundering money. That’s just the type of leverage Robert Mueller was looking for:

[…] Stanley said Papadopoulos arrived on a Lufthansa flight from Munich that touched down at about 7 p.m. on July 27, and the FBI intercepted him as soon as he got off the plane.

“He was arrested before he got to Customs and he was then held at the airport before being brought to a law enforcement office,” Stanley recalled. (link)

The Mueller directed federal agents were waiting for him; but P-dop left the cash in Greece. I suspect Papadopoulos likely sensed something was askew. The absence of the cash foiled the FBI’s initial plan and that’s

Spot on!

But George was young, inexperienced. Like so many in this era, he thought to act honest and candid would see him through.

My hope is after POTUS locks these deep state monsters up, that he pardon George or otherwise restore his young career back to promising. Donald Trump has helped hundreds of people in similarly challenging circumstances finding themselves in a bind through no fault of their own or punished in excess, especially Vets. What I love about the man:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/3330070/posts?page=86#79

If George’s career can survive this episode, he will be a helluva government servant because now he is ‘wise’ to the darkside. I believe young George is honest, has integrity, and needs public support once his story penetrates through or bypasses the liar media.

From the article: He was arrested before he got to Customs

Does that not mean he was arrested before he had the chance to declare the money? (if he still had the money on him)

Yes, I know they give you the customs card to fill out while on the plane, but until you get the chance to turn the card in, it seems you have not committed a crime of non-declaration.

So not only was it a set up, it was poorly executed.

Can anyone correct me if that is incorrect?

Lol, this sh*tshow is so embarrassing. They hit him with the perjury charge to cover up that they were trying to get him for the customs charge.

We are in agreement but you’re missing the CTR misdirection. They implied George was arrested at Dulles International as he stepped off a plane from Munich in connection with the 10k. His arrest had nothing to do with the 10k.

He was arrested as a result of Mueller getting an indictment on George’s lying to the FBI in one of several interviews.

The issue of the 10k is mud thrown against the wall by deep state bastards working with Mueller. They are trying to make George seem like something he is not. And the real problem is they are successful with making so much confusion that they have led CTR and persons posting on FR to eat their sh*t. Hence, we correct the record to show we’re not their fools.

They confused this young man badly, and they are doing the same to viewers here on FR through CTR’s confusion.

What we want is for everyone with us to see what is truly happening here. It is worth the time to watch this woman’s report:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fdmj1vUvjeY&t=2s

She also nails Mueller here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfNDeSOqLl8

She is strong, so strong that her life could be in danger as was Jenny Moore’s:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3679063/posts

Jenny “Taskforce” Moore’s Twitter was devasting:
https://twitter.com/SHF7

Jenny is now dead, just last week.

The takeaway is we are witnessing the behavior and tactics of murderers and liars, This is not a game. Real people are dying or being ruined. Papadopoulos is just one of many.

The shadowy dark of the Swamp recedes a bit more. Here’s the Mueller operation in all its seedy, tawdry, and corrupt abuse of their powers.

What a malignancy on the body politic Mueller is.

The previous sentence made it clear he did not bring the money in.

You will probably enjoy this article, if you haven't seen it already.

The comments following the article are also excellent, and seem to include some people with really deep knowledge of the players around the Papadapolis sting.

So not only was it a set up, it was poorly executed.

From the update to the article:

[W]hen he was arrested at Dulles Airport on July 27 after coming off a flight from Munich, prosecutors had no warrant for him and no indictment or criminal complaint. The complaint would be filed the following morning and approved by Howell in Washington.

The key here is that he was arrested without a warrant or probable cause. It would appear that the only way the FBI knew he could possibly be carrying the cash was that "someone" arranged to pay him a bogus fee. CIA ?FBI ? No one with an I.Q. above room temperature should talk to the FBI under any circumstances.

CTH and somewhat of the Daily Caller is implying that Mueller and team were looking for him to be carrying the 10k when they arrested him on top of lying to the FBI. They were going to get him but they wanted something else added to him lying to the FBI according to them

Big money in selling access to American’s gathered ‘intelligence’... make it now for ‘favors’ (from the press and others) or make it later as a retired A-hole like Brennan....

My question is: why did Papadopolis plead guilty? As told by Sundance/Conservative Treehouse he was set up from the get to. The two specific things that he said he "lied" about were the data of his meeting with one of the foreign agents / FBI / CIA plants and how well that person was connected to Russia.

These are pretty trivial points to suck up a felony for mis-conveying to the FBI.

By the way: Mueller wants Papadopolis to go to jail for 1 to 6 months for this, and pay a $9500 fine.

OK, harsh justice, but he did plead guilty.

Meanwhile, what is happening to Andy McCabe. He was fired for lying to FBI and DOJ investigators about various things, and referred to a prosecutor. Where is the prosecution and or plea bargain for him?

His lies were much more material than Papadopolis's. Pdop merely mischaracterized a date, and the FBI knew the correct date (because, among other things the guy on the other side was there guy). Pdop mischaracterized how influential in Russia he was: maybe he didn't know. Maybe he has different standards for "influential" than the people asking him.... it's a subjective questions. For instance, is Steve Bannon currently influential with Trump?

But still my biggest question is "why did you plead guilty?".

I have the same question for Flynn, but in his case they were threatening his son, so that is more understandable.

No. That is misdirection.

The date they arrested him was LONG AFTER he was involved in the business deal with the 10k. Importantly, the 10k deal was BEFORE he was part of the Trump Campaign.

They had no indictment against George for the 10k because there was no crime.

They arrested him BEFORE he went through customs. They arrested him as he got off the plane. They arrested him in July 2017 LONG AFTER the 10k deal when he was not part of the Trump Campaign.

It is not illegal to accept cash in a business arrangement or to bring cash into the US. So there is no way they could have obtained an indictment in connection with his 10k.

The only reason to bring up the 10k is to make him look shady which he is not.

You are eating their sh*t. And I am trying to tell you don’t eat it.

Bagster, look at the links in the several posts I left above. It is worth your time, worth everyone’s time. The Papadopoulos crucifixion is going down now and it pays to be clear on the facts because the effing liar media is and is going to be confusing a lot of people. It’s sad CTR got caught up in it but that should tell you how effective Mueller and his bastards are with distorting the truth.

> “My question is: why did Papadopolis plead guilty?”

Because they confused the frick out of this young man and then scared the hell out of him with looking at years in the federal pen.

So they offered him a lighter sentence like a month or two or maybe a few weeks if HE CONFESSED. Yeah, they’re bastards alright. Read and view “cuban leaf’s” post and link in #16 above.

So he talked it over with his wife, he was newly married and she agreed he should take the plea deal. But then she discovered Mueller and his dogs were dirty, damned dirty, so now she is in the mews, just yesterday saying her husband should rescind the plea deal and get an attorney.

Watch and learn here:

The interview that resulted in the lying to the FBI charge was a result of the arrest at the airport. So they didn't have any charges ready to go when they arrested him, because he out-smarted them and left the money in Greece.

So they created a perjury trap for him, and apparently he stepped in it.

But when he stepped off that plane he wasn't already accused of a crime. The supposed "crime" was one of Mueller's famous "process crimes".

That guys a total weasel.
