A boy who was lost in the woods says a bear kept him company. No one can prove it didn't happen.

(CNN) -- We may never know what Casey Hathaway was doing during the three days he was missing.

He was found on Thursday, cold but alive, in a mess of vines and thorns in Craven County, North Carolina.

But the 3-year-old has volunteered one noteworthy detail about those days in the woods: a bear kept him company.

They should be able to call in a tracker, and see if there were any bear paw prints around.

The kid did survive. He kept warm somehow.

You know, it’s interesting what things do take place at times. Remember that Gorilla that helped that kid that fell into his cage.

God can use any creature He wants as in effect an “Angel” to watch over us?

My guess is that a big shaggy dog stayed with him and kept him company. To a 3 yrs old a big long hair dog and a bear would be close enough to being the same.

A bear would probably not attack a 3 year old because he would not pose a threat. So, it’s possible that a bear came along and took him in for a while. If the bear actually came in contact with him there should be forensic evidence on his clothes.

etc and let him pick out what he spent time with.
