ask the kid what the bear was wearing....what kind of shoes he was wearing....little things that will trigger his imagination. The answer is there. You just have to get down to his level. Draw a picture...what did the bear say....remember, we have a damn toilet commercial with bears...

absolutely....I don't know why people automatically dismiss this little boys story....

its winter...the bears are not that active....its their quiet sleepy time and I don't believe they would be aggressive...people forget that bears eat lots of things...from bugs to berries to greens...they would eat meat but I suspect they wouldn't be that active or inclined to do so in winter....

Amen to the guardian angel. He could have directed the bear to help the boy. All of nature is obedient to God’s will, either by instinct or by angelic command. The fact is, the prayers of that family and that community were answered in a miraculous way. And the boy confirmed it by relating that a bear kept him warm.

For some, miracles have to be explained away. Otherwise their conscience begins to bother them too much, that they might be accountable to a God who loves them.

What child would walk into that? I think he was placed there and told what to say.

It's cute to think that there is a guardian bear out there, but what if it wasn't? Bears stink. If the child was with a bear the stench would have been on him.
