It's Time For All Americans to Support Our President
2/15/2019 | Nikos1121

Posted on 02/15/2019 5:45:06 AM PST by nikos1121

It's time for all Americans, regardless of their political persuasion, to come together and support our president. Whether you've been for or against him, it's time to admit, he's paid his dues.

He's walked the walk. Like Ronald Reagan, he's been true to his promises and stayed the coarse, despite the daily onslaught of slings and arrows coming from all sides.

Whether you're that fair weather, mostly street dumb fan Ann Coulter, who called him "a lunatic" and "dumb" because he didn't call for a National Emergency months ago, or those whom we cherish, like Laura Ingraham and Rush who called him to hold a "State of the Union" address at a different venue. Trump knew all along what he was going to do. In short, he had a plan, and he stuck to it.

Pelosi and Schumer thought they had boxed him into a corner when he shut down the government, but in reality the shutdown brought the border crisis to the forefront of the news to the point that 60% of Americans recognized the need for a wall.

Pelosi, proud as a peacock, dis-invites him from speaking before congress until he ends the shut down. So, what does he do? He ends the shutdown, and gives the speech of the century, in the best possible arena, shelling it out to the point that he's got both sides standing and cheering him, and afterwards the pundits too.

Anyone listening to the speech would have to agree, that this man believes what he's saying. And that says a lot.

But it gets better.

They think they've trapped him again, by putting together a 1200 page bill full of mind fields and garbage, daring him to veto it. He makes it clear to all that he's displeased, but it does have 1.3 billion dollars above the dollar bill Pelosi offered. So he signs it, knowing that the silly provisions will be good only for a few more months, then gone like the wind.

And when the dems are celebrating, he includes a little doozy, that he's declaring a National Emergency, and right out of the gate he picks up 8 billion, and dares them to fight him.

Adding a cheery to the sundae, he gives a speech in El Paso attended by thousands, who are mostly Latin Americans. Across the street is another socialist dingbat, who draws only a few hundred Mexican Flag waving and Trump Piñata bashers.

Yes, say what you will about this man, but one thing is for sure--Like Grant,he fights. He IS the smartest man in the room, but he does it like a guy who got the top grade in a Dale Carnegie course.

He likes us, and now is the time for all of us to show that we like him. To recognize that he's in this for us, because he loves this country.

Has he made any mistakes? Yes, I can think of two.

1. Appointing Jeff Sessions as AG. The man didn't fight to protect our president, or to go after the true villains and traitors. He was weak, and he allowed for the special counsel. We now all know what a farce that was.

2. Trusting Paul Ryan, and signing the Omnibus Bill without getting his wall fully funded at that time. He was promised that it would be his, during the lame duck session. But it wasn't. Ryan took off, along with dozens of other weak minded elected losers, and went back home to mommy.

OUr president has played the other side and the Never Trumpers, and even those seasoned doubters on this forum who keep losing faith in him, like a 1937 Vintage C. F. Martin Guitar. And like the guitar,

He is truly made in America.

Everyone must see that all along, Trump had a plan. All along he knew what he was doing, and how to do it.

The man is brilliant. So much so, that his adversaries and doubters have no clue, what's really happening.

I love this country this morning, and our president more than anything. God truly is blessing America.

Hello .

Its a Dem foreign invasion bill .
It was ram thru with every Dem voting Yes and the HouseGop voted NO with just enough McCarthy sell outs .

This is a massive disaster .
The wall could have been funded for the last two years when we controlled the House .

If Trump signs this Dem invasion plan then there 40 million that want to move can just start racing to border since no one can stop them now legally .

Very good vanity. The only thing I disagree with is I certainly don’t cherish Laura Ingraham.

Nearly half this country will NEVER come together behind ANY President.

Saul Alinsky lit the fuse in 1972, and the bomb has now detonated. It’s a split nation now, and NOTHING any POTUS does will win over his opposition.

I have and wanna still believe.

However, all that really counts are results, be it short term, and more importantly, long term.

Short term, the economy is greatish due to the backed-by-MilitaryIndustialComplex fiat (Petro) dollar is currently the World Reserve Currency.

Long term:
22 Trillion Nat’l debt is up 3 Trillion in two years.
70% of our unwell economy is reliant on consumer DEBT.
And, the cabal of Obama-Clinton criminals have not been prosecuted and imprisoned.

30 Million Illegal Aliens have not been deported, with thousands more streaming in and released into our country each day.

DJT, Rinos and Dems refuse to address the one thing that would resolve the crisis -
Remove All incentives for illegals to come here, ie: heavily penalize employing illegals, remove All welfare and birthright citizenship.

The Wall excitement is a distraction ruse.

Alinsky said, “the issue is never the real issue.”

Think: the Bull, the Red Cape, and the sword welding Matador.

We are a captive audience to this bad Reality show.

Regardless of who occupies the White House, there is really only one question that needs answering:

Are we getting closer to tyranny, or farther away from it?

Sorry. Rational people realize that Trump is as the commercial says OK. But he has to show much more leadership. This “compromise” bill weakens Federal law enforcement and codifies open borders. It gives privileges and accommodation to anyone who barges into the country. Trump should veto it and announce that he wants a “clean” bill to keep the government running but will not sign a bill that hurts the country. He should then using his constitutional power as Commander in Chief, without declaring an “emergency”, simply order the Army Corp of Engineers to build a security barrier/wall on the southern border. The American people, despite the foul gases emanating from the swamp, will support him and he will accomplish much.

I don’t think he has a plan. And I don’t think he walks the walk. He talks the talk as good as I’ve seen. But I’m horribly disappointed in his lack of a fighting mentality and his ability to see what obstacles lie ahead and make a plan to actually deal with them before they become the catastrophic problem that they’ve become. I honestly don’t trust Trump right now. As much as a joke that Alexandria ocasio-cortez and her ideas are, at least she seems to be a warrior going after what she thinks is the right things to do. I wish I could say the same for Trump.

... and Laura Ingraham is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. I love Rush but I’m reconsidering him strongly right about now.

Sorry. He hasn’t kept his promises. He promised to repeal Obamacare and replace it with a low cost comprehensive plan that would insure everyone. Haven’t seen it. He promised to raise taxes on the wealthy, even said it would be very unpopular among his friends, yet his tax program was very favorable to the wealthy.

"Think: the Bull, the Red Cape, and the sword welding Matador."

I like your metaphor.
We often speak of "bright shiny objects", meaning distractions from real issues, but that term doesn't begin to convey the deadly menace your "Bull, Cape & Sword" so well illustrate.

Not certain if I want to be compared to the bull:

POTUS has been under treasonous assault since before he was even elected. Assaults aided and abetted by his own party. Your expectations are way out of line with the reality of the situation. What we are seeing now is a POTUS without the support of his own party and sometimes it is UGLY. He got nothing but stinking piles of garbage from Congress. We don’t elect a king and you need to understand that.

If Trump fights his own party and is shown to be a weak veto overriden POTUS he will never be reelected in 2020. It’s that simple. Sorry.

Agree. Go Donald. We are witnessing a great american patriot akin to George Washington who sees the threat to our existence in terms of being beholden to the nanny state vs Washingtons another country.

Here is a person who is rich enough to avoid all the turmoil in his life by bottom dwellers who pose as “ representative of the peoples will”. That goes for both sides with the weak kneed Republicans.

The veto would never be overridden. Once Trump publicly identifies the flaws in that bill, no Republican that seeks reelection would vote for it again.

Well stated. Hope we see that or some form incorporating those principles. Also if this is a temporary resolution does that mean that all restrictions that may be in the bill are only for 7 months ( not sure of duration)
