Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez livestreamed herself drinking wine and assembling IKEA furniture.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) may be in Congress now, but her Wednesday nights still consist of some pretty normal stuff.
As BuzzFeed News' Vera Bergengruen pointed out on Twitter, Ocasio-Cortez spent her evening drinking wine, assembling IKEA furniture, and chatting about politics. The difference between the congresswoman and her constituents? More than 8,000 people tuned into an Instagram livestream to watch her do it.
Ocasio-Cortez's livestreams often attract attention, like when she discussed the fear of bringing children into a world affected by climate change. The Washington Post even wrote about her "2018 version of fireside chats," pointing out that her Instagram presence attracts new fans who find the videos relatable, as well as critics who take advantage of her laid back approach and latch onto any slipup they can find.
While the lawmaker's every utterance in Congress is quickly praised and torn apart by fans and detractors, the fact that thousands of people are eager to tune in and watch her make soup or munch on popcorn — while answering policy questions, of course — is probably a level of stardom no other legislator currently enjoys. Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) tore into Republican commentators on Wednesday, claiming they have been “stalking, doctoring and editing” her livestream videos on social media in an effort to “sow doubt” about her intelligence.
“Cognitive dissonance is Republican commentators stalking, doctoring, and editing my casual livestreams out of context in order to sow doubt in my intelligence, all while blindly supporting a man who thinks our greatest defense against forest fires is: A Rake,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter.

Lots and lots of money was raised from political action campaign committees controlled by Ocasio-Cortez and her campaign manager----Saikat Chakrabarti (now her congressional chief of staff).
Chakrabarti then established an LLC----a for-profit company that does not require reporting its finances. Apparently with all the scrutiny, Chakrabarti has since closed his company doors.
Chakrabarti may have closed down the LLC....but are the company's bank accounts still open?
B/c the LLC bank accounts were the instruments used to convert campaign donations to spending money for those involved including AOC. (see details above)

It is a bad idea to drink so much as a glass of wine with your employers. The few times I was in such a social situation, I walked around with the glass and sipped once in a while. I doubt I ever finished an alcoholic drink in a situation where I was with coworkers. Over a thirty-plus year career I saw a few people destroy their work relationship at a Christmas party. (Rule for Christmas parties at work, come early, be pleasant, drink no alcohol, leave before people get drunk.)
Politicians today are trying to be relatable. Most, like Beto, who livestreamed a teeth cleaning, have no clue how to relate to regular people. This is because they live such cloistered lives in their echo chamber that they have no clue what a regular person is like.
Makes sense she’s an alky.
