Properly understood, this brief is a tremendous insult to the Court. The number of amici briefs and the anonymity of the donors supporting such briefs should be entirely irrelevant to the Court. Only the legal arguments should have weight.

While the Senate is alone in its responsibility to confirm appointments to the Supreme Court, it is not alone in making legislative changes to our court system. That must include both the House and the President.

Meanwhile, left media statistic guy Nate Silver conclusively shows that there are now THREE “sing” justices - all appointed by Republicans. And I’ll point out that Justices Kennedy and O’Connor were recent prior swing votes, and both appointed by Republicans. There are never Democratic appointed swing justices, they are all rabid idealogues.
Curious as the Democrat party operates strictly in their own party interests, their constituents be damned what would happen should their constituency sue for representation? Of course it won’t happen, but just a thought.
As the entire electorate Democrat, Republican, or other is impacted (cop out word to avoid unnecessary discussion) I wonder if there could be a lawsuit against a Democrat Party that is not operating in the interests of our constitution, which is the basis of our existence? My thinking being the Democrats got license under our constitution, and over the years have become an anti-constitutional political entity.
