Republican revenge: Record GOP field forms, on 2020 mission to take down ‘socialists’ (Pelosi forced to retire?)

EXCLUSIVE: Republicans are on the rebound.

A record number of candidates have filed to run for office in the House and Senate, breaking last cycle’s history-making numbers from the same point in time. But unlike the 2018 midterms when the surge was driven by Democrats, the congressional boom this time is on the Republican side, according to the latest federal candidate and financial activity report obtained exclusively by Fox News.

In 2019 alone, 781 Republicans filed federal paperwork to run for the House, the most ever recorded in an odd year at the Federal Election Commission. That’s up from 593 GOP candidates in 2017, when Democrats had an astounding 937 candidates at the same point.

Republican candidates across the country interviewed by Fox News said they feel momentum is on their side this time. Energized by President Trump and his impeachment acquittal, congressional hopefuls are making the case that Trump needs a fighter like them in the House or else the country will succumb to “socialist” Democratic plans.

“I'm tired of seeing my president attacked every day,” said Marjorie Greene, a GOP businesswoman and first-time congressional candidate running for an open seat in Georgia’s 14th district. “I'm tired of seeing our future threatened. I'm tired of seeing my children's future extremely threatened, and it’s time to get off the bench and really step up to the plate.”

I don’t live in California, but if Democrats do what they did in 2018 in Orange County California and STOLE that election it will not matter. They are better at cheating the system than we are.

Because unfortunately Republicans are too damn honest.

That’s great, but they need tons of $$. Demonrats in safe seats need little $$, that’s why the ones in marginal seats will each have millions (not counting in-kind media/cultural help, subversive “aid” and whatever other illegalities). The GOP will have to match and exceed that amount in each race. Sadly, you can almost always determine who will win a federal race based on who has the most $$.

Soros and Bloomberg have mounted an incredible defense on the Districts where the Democratic candidates are weakened because of their impeachment votes. Kendra Horn, OK -5 has had no less than 10 TV commercials in the last week, which means she is spending millions to defend the traditional Red District (taken from them in 2018). Several Republicans have filed to oppose her. MY favorite is Janet Barrisi, a strong conservative Republican who backs Trump and was the former head of Schools (lost the last election because the Unions fought her tooth and nail)...We should all support Janet and those who are like her, in a battle against overwhelming financial odds...Kendra Horn has done nothing for Oklohoma, but is running on the promise that she will moderate between factions. That is a laugh, because she has done only Pelosi’s bidding. The only true independent thing she did was to bring back the ‘bust’ of Carl Albert’, former Speaker of the House from Oklahoma, and have it displayed in the Capitol. I am supporting Barrisi for Oklahoma 5.

Locally our congressman announced he would not seek another term.

So far, there are only two candidates that I know of and neither is worth a damn

Absolutely stunning - older book but certainly eye opening. I don’t know how it escaped publicity when it came out but it will cause you to question every stinking thing any politician ever does. We all question how so many become so wealthy once they make it to Congress. No need to question any longer. Bribing leaders (campaign cash) to get their bills to the floor, even getting to speak on the floor, raising set amounts of money for committee assignments, funnel money from one congressional member to another all perfectly legal EVEN ON CAPITOL GROUNDS - the list is endless. I’ll finish this one before I start in on his new one “Profiles in Corruption.” I will have to have resuscitation before I can get to that...

Absolutely mind boggling what goes on off the House and Senate floors..They run to line their pockets and continue to do so after getting the job.

BTW - when is someone going to do something about the Senators who are on the campaign trail and collecting their taxpayer salary while AWOL? I have hounded everyone for years about this sticking point only to be told that the rule that exists at least in the House has never been enforced in XXXX years of years so why bring it up? I thought that was a novel way to go through life! Good grief!

Extortion by Peter Schweizer

“”Inside this best-selling bombshell of a book, Schweizer reveals the exorbitant secret “fees” each political party charges politicians for top committee assignments; how fourteen members of Congress bagged hundreds of thousands of dollars using a little-known self-loan loophole; how politicians use PACs to bankroll lavish lifestyles; and much more. Washington’s extortion racket has gone unreported — until now.””

I heard the NRCC out-raised the rats in January. March is their big fundraising month. And Trump has raised plenty of money that can be funnelled. He’s very focused on House races now.

In any case, our path is very simple, if Trump wins he’s carrying the districts we need to take back at least a narrow majority. There is no earthly reason anyone needs to be splitting tickets and I think we’ll have a record low split of House districts carried by the other party this year. Nationalize the election. Best with Bernie as the nominee, weak in the suburbs. 2018 bore this out, rats took every Hillary seat save 3 (Fitzpatrick, Hurd, Katko, all narrowly Hiillary). Unfortunately they took several of our better seats because of the typical midterm turnout advantage. Most of those should be no problem to get back.

That said we have some weak looking candidates in several key seats.

The President needs to loudly advocate his supporters to vote GOP down the line, I’m more worried about under-voting from lazy idiots than ticket splitting.

I’d love to see a landslide, with Trump’s coattails reaching into the local elections. I’d love to see a few blue held seats (like CT-1, no Republican was ever elected since 1952) flip to Red. I think some freshmen will be swept out in November.
