There is an out for him. Biden names him the VP candidate like I did with Newsom yesterday. In return he becomes POTUS in the unlikely event Biden wins. He can make an impression for 2024 if they lose as expected. Just think. Democrat governor in a red state means the party goes mainstream rather than whacko left. Just explain it to the lefties the same way they did when they screwed Bernie.

Not disputing yur point but adding to it — lot of union history in the mining and related fields out there. Guy feel like grandpa’s union democrat history locks him into being a Democrat also.

Jon "TestesBoy" Tester...

Plus the Dems are working on Idaho, too - imports from Silicon Valley, working remotely.

HUGE! I don’t think Ruth Buzzard can hang on much longer. We have got to hang onto the Senate.

Can’t figure MT out...should be solid red from top to bottom.

Longtime union stronghold, mining, etc., dating back to the state's founding.

Was seriously red during eighties and nineties, but hordes of Californicators and Leftist millionaire/billionaires are determined to bring with them all the filth and degeneracy they pretend they want to flee.

Hate to say it but Bullock is a good name for a Montana candidate.
(sort of an inside joke to Deadwood fans)

RE: Republican Sen. Steve Daines holds a 6 point lead in his reelection race with Montana Democratic Governor Steve Bullock in a race that will help decide the balance of power in the U.S. Senate

Well, it’s Montana, isn’t Montana already a red state?

I doubt there are enough union jobs there to make much difference. I don’t think oil workers are voting for demonrats.

MT has rarely elected Republican Senators since the popular vote. Steve Daines is only the 3rd in a century. The other two was a one-termer in 1946 and Conrad Burns (1989-2007) who had his 4th term stolen from him by corrupt justice officials in D.C. on fake criminal charges.

imports from Silicon Valley, working remotely.

Ahh, so THAT'S the reason why Google extended their work at home rule.

“traditional Montana” - yes, but liberals from California are buying up property and moving, at least moving their official addresses, to Montana and Idaho - bringing with them their liberal political balloting.

Too many Ted Turner types escaped to Montana.

No. It has been like that for a long time. The industry (e.g. mining) there has a lot of folks who made deals with the Dems for $$$ reasons. You see similar in Alaska sometimes.

Native Americans vote Dem, too. Since they are supposedly their own nations, why do they get to vote in our elections?

Montana senior US senator is Democrat Jon Tester.

The "rez" has been bringing it home for him...

“Too many Liberaltarians out west. They claim to be conservative but would vote for Karl Marx if promised a sack of dope to smoke with their queer boyfriend.”

Libertarians are still upset that FDR didn’t allow 20 divisions of Hitler’s wehrmacht to set up shop in Kansas...because freedom of association.
