Despite the severe global toll of the coronavirus pandemic, the World Health Organization warns that the outbreak is “not necessarily the big one” – and urges the world to get “serious” about preparedness.
“This is a wakeup call,” WHO emergencies chief Michael Ryan said at a press conference Monday marking a year since the UN agency first learned of the new bug spreading in China.

The Big One will be when they march us to the Covid detention centers.
Gotta keep the level of fear right up there. Better to control the herd. Trust us. We’ll keep you safe. Just give us all your liberties.
Nah.
They are mixing up another one in a petrie dish as I am typing this.
Just to scoop up all those who refuse this vaccine.
I have virus fatigue. Anyone else have such thoughts?
Are we going to shut down society every time some new virus is identified? Isn’t it a fact that new bacteria and viruses are discovered all the time? Are we going to shut down for a year as we wait for a vaccine? Is this the new normal? Why didn’t we shut down for the Hong Kong flu back in the 60s, which took over 100,000 American lives then?
And another thought that comes to me, is, did we overreact to this virus? Is the cure worse than the disease, considering that this virus is not deadly to the vast majority of us, even if we do get the virus?
Guess they never heard about the little boy who cried wolf.
Its often been said by physicians that the world is just one mutation away from Agamemnon.
Yep, it’s the Big Dummy.
Since March 2020, two of my friends have died. But not from corona. One died in a fall down her basement steps. The other from peritoneal cancer.
Not covid.
My daughter and her husband in Houston had and recovered from covid. So did another friend of mine and her daughter. Her husband, living with them both never got it.
I understand anecdotally that others have friends that have caught it and died. But illness and death are a constant risk.
So, yeah, covid ain’t “the big one.”
“Are we going to shut down society every time some new virus is identified?”
*****
That’s why they will make the next one more lethal.
Visible skin lesions and and disfigurement would also be a bonus in a narcissistic culture.
It’s got to be difficult to hit the sweet spot with these pandemics.
Yep. They got a good thing going. There are nothing but scaredy cats running around now.
See my tagline
gosh!! I think we need to immediately and permanently close our borders to all people and products coming from third world and communist countries!!
There; problem solved.
I grew up hearing from people like Paul Ehrlich that the big problem was overpopulation.
Now I hear from Fauci that the big problem is a virus that kills people.
I just don’t think about these things. Everybody dies eventually, so why lose sleep over it? It’s all going to turn out OK.
We’re being played big time.
It’s getting to the point where you need a telescope to see the goalposts these days.
Since this one was not A natural occurring virus, but a man made virus done in Gain Of Function research, by Scientists including Dr. Fauci, genetically modifying Bat virus to allow the virus to penetrate Human cells, who will do the Big One?
According to Revelation, you’ve not seen anything yet.
The Chicoms have one goal in store for the U.S. that is to destroy the U.S. economy so they can get control of the World Reserve Currency for their economy to recover.

Well yeah, rational people are sick of this crap. But, Americans aren’t rational. Look at cable tv sometime. What people will watch is jaw dropping. And it’s those people who wallow in the fear porn, and vote Biden.
I am older, and my attitude is, no one gets out alive. Let me make my choices, and I’ll deal with what my decisions bring.
A little story that illustrates my negativity about people. I walk in the park every day. Yesterday, I came upon a neighbor. This woman is about my age and a conservative. Her brother got covid, and her next door neighbor had just recovered from covid. It was clear she was very afraid. I told her, there are lots of things that get you. Here we are in a wooded park, with LOTS of deer ticks. We could get lyme disease and in many cases that’s worse than covid. She looked at me blankly for a second while she processed that, and then said: “Oh yeah.” It was as if it never occurred to her that there was anything as bad as covid.
