Not only would an impeachment trial held after January 20th, 2021, for the removal of Donald J. Trump as President be completely meaningless, it probably exceeds the language of the Constitution, in which there may be no “Bill of Attainder” (Article I, Section 9, paragraph 3) charged against then private citizen Donald J. Trump.
