Former President Donald Trump does not just lead the Republican Party still, he ostensibly owns it, according to the latest Suffolk University-USA Today poll released Sunday.
By a near 2-to-1 margin, Republicans would leave the GOP to follow former President Donald Trump to a third party.
"We feel like Republicans don't fight enough for us, and we all see Donald Trump fighting for us as hard as he can, every single day," Brandon Keidl, 27, Republican small-business owner from Milwaukee told USA Today after being polled. "But then you have establishment Republicans who just agree with establishment Democrats and everything, and they don't ever push back."
The poll found 46% of Republicans would follow Trump to a new party, compared to just 26% that would stay with the GOP and remainder undecided. A majority of Trump voters (54%) are more loyal to the candidate than the party (34%).

Absolutely.
Ok
“We feel like Republicans...”
maybe republicans. Conservatives do not talk like this. They do not act on “feelings” they act on thinking.
They think
Leftists don’t think they feel.
You failed fifth grade math, didn’t you? If half the GOP leaves to form a new party, the Democrats will be in full control for the next 200 years.
I know the argument is that a new party will simply split the Republican/conservative vote and just enable Democrats to easily win elections.
On the other hand, what do we gain, if we elect Republicans, and the Republican party is simply a Democrat/lite party, instead of a strong principled conservative values party?
I’m in!
They already are, math genius.
My husband and I will no longer contribute to Republican Party or Republicans in general, only to Trump funds and Teumpists.
Its more like 85% will leave the rest were voting with the dems anyway.

Go ahead and put 93-7 to confirm the stolen election in your number cruncher. Democrats and their corportist allies in the GOP already have full control. After 4 years of bipartisan coupist assaults and disenfranchisement we’ve got nothing left to lose. California is our future on the current path. Guaranteed.
If we keep re-electing Bush League Republicans we will get what we have always gotten, Assistant Democrats.
“President Trump, I am 100% ready”
Ditto here. I’m done with the GOP.
Apparently you missed the rather salient point that the dems already are in full control.
Correct, the only people still voting for the R jersey will be those too stupid to stop self-destructive behavior.
The problem is the surrender caucus wing of the GOP base. Roughly 1/3 of the base as best I can tell. They are weak, prone to surrender and are never going third party. Conservatives can’t win with them because the GOPe will collude with Democrats to defeat us and we can’t defeat Democrats without them. There is no happy ending here. RIP USA.
Democrats will be in full control for the next 200 years.
They just accomplished this by stealing a presidential election and nothing was done, nothing
My feeling is if trump didn’t sign the insurrection act before leaving office and the military is not in full control now and in march or early may the storm doesn’t arrive. We are truly done. We layed down and allowed this to happen what is that telling them?
The GOP will be hunted down by the CCP, the DOJ, and DNC.
No one cares about them. They did NOTHING when
they had the chance to, except sell out.
They even backstabbed their POTUS and their voters,
and deservedly hated.
useless poll, because we are not leaving, this is our party. If the Trump Derangment Syndrom people don’t like it, they they go kiss liberal butt in the communist party!
Yep. If people leave then the dems have a free pass at least
on national elections and probably many state ones also.
75 Million voted for Trump. Force the republican party to the sidelines.
Recruit well known conservatives as candidates, perhaps some from the republican party.
What is there to lose? We’re played like a cheap fiddle every election cycle after election cycle.
Keep the Pro-American platform, Pro-American worker...I think it’s a winner.
