The station wagon and the gun were found in a different location than where the couple was arrested, but officials did not disclose when and where they were found, nor how long they conducted surveillance on the suspects prior to the arrests.
The gun and car used in the road-rage death of a six-year-old last month on the 55 Freeway in Orange have been found, the California Highway Patrol said Monday, June 7, just hours after Aiden Leos was buried.
District Attorney Todd Spitzer said the driver and passenger will make their first court appearances in the case on Tuesday to face yet-announced charges.
The pair were being held in Orange County Jail on $1 million bail each, jail records show.
They work in Highland in San Bernardino County, sources said.
CHP officials executed search warrants Sunday, authorities said. Those searches continued into Monday, said Kimberly Edds, a spokeswoman for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

This is not to blame the victim, but years ago I stopped making gestures or yelling at jerk drivers. People are wound way too tight these days and you never know how they'll react.

I remember years ago hubby getting into some back and forth with some other driver in, like THE BRONX, or someplace like that. I was terrified and told him to stop it. He said: what are you worried about? And I said: if they shoot at us I’m the closest to their car.
I also chose (on hubby’s advice to be fair) not to put a pro-Israel bumper sticker on my car. I have a dreadful commute in NJ, out there with all the tractor trailers, over size loads, and just crazy Jersey drivers. I realized all it would take would be one sudden onset jihad syndrome and I could be obliterated. I decided it was not right to put myself in any greater physical jeopardy that I was already in driving 90 miles a day on that route.
Bet a cup of coffee the female suspect led them right to the weapon and possibly the vehicle. No fancy coffee.

Don’t worry, I heard the DA Todd Spitzer on the radio, Max Sentence is 25 to life which means he is eligible for parole after 25 years, but with the way they run the CA prison systems now, he should be eligible for parole in 7 and out in 12 Max.

I assume you think you’re joking. An angry gesture, probably made because he had nearly caused her to have an accident by cutting in front of her, does not justify murder.
Plus it sounds as if this guy’s driving must have earned him more than one “rude gesture.”
