The delta variant accounts for at least 93 percent of all sequenced coronavirus in the U.S., according to estimates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
For the two-week period ending July 31, all the different lineages of the delta variant made up about 93 percent of cases that were sequenced.
In some parts of the country with low vaccination rates, especially the Midwest region that includes Kansas, Iowa and Missouri, the percentages are even higher.

What flu? Did I miss something. I was under the impression that the flu went the way of the Dodo, as it was completely eradicated last year. Not one flu case documented.

Lets see, first the FDA finally comes out and says the PCR test isn’t worth a sh*t. Then they come out and say that the test could NEVER differentiate from the flu, pneumonia or the ‘Rona.
And I’m pretty sure I saw a headline, within the last day or two, that said the PCR test didn’t even have a virus in it’s development phase. If my memory is correct and that is true, then the test isn’t worth a sh*t. If it doesn’t have a sample of the virus it’s supposed to detect, then it’s detecting something entirely different, as it has nothing to compare to.
That’s 1.5% vs. 0.4%. So basically (and yes, I know there are FReepers who are going to “Um, actually...” me) it’s 75% LESS lethal.

They can’t even tell the difference between CCP-1984 and the common cold, but they can differentiate imaginary “variants.”
