Former President Trump and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley met at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort last week amid speculation both are eyeing White House runs in 2024.
Two sources familiar with the meeting confirmed to The Hill that the two sat down, with one calling it “positive.” Neither source said what Trump and Haley discussed.
The meeting was first reported by Politico.

It’s all kabuki. Trump pretends to have allies in the GOPe and the GOPe try to position themselves for a post Trump world. Haley is playing a long game here.

Well, we know which ONE called it positive...and it sure as hell wasn’t POTUS.

Maybe so. So be it. If Trump is to pull it off and become President again and get his agenda pushed forward he must build a coalition and get other politicians behind him.

I don’t believe it was positive. He fired her as UN ambassador. And she would be running against him in 2024.
Nimrata Randhawa(Nikki Haley) stabbed Trump in the back many times.
Why he would meet with her is beyond me.

Nor do I believe Trump or someone in his Camp said it was positive.

I remember when President B.J. Clinton met with Pope John Paul II. The White House announced that it was a good meeting, and that the two men moved closer in their views on abortion. The Vatican issued a statement that if they moved closer it could only have been if Clinton moved closer to the Pope’s position.
Let’s not let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
Haley is popular with a lot of moderates and women. An endorsement from her, repaid with some post with limited power (low-level Cabinet or even the UN job again), may go a long way toward getting Trump re-elected. Women voters already have enough problems with Trump.
I’m sure Asian voters view her favorably as well.
Maybe Trump wants to mislead the large establishment donors to waste some money on Haley. Similar to what they did on Jeb in 2016.
Haley has joined the crowded ranks of former governors. Out of that very large group of people, Haley, never having accomplished much else in her life, thinks that she is uniquely qualified, due to her skin color and genitalia, to be President.
She has ALWAYS been a never-Trumper.
I say it’s a good thing. A Coach has to work with the players he has. Nikki Haley may not be all that likable, but she seems disciplined quite capable.
We need more republican leader under the age of 55 to work along with Donald Trump in some manner. No one is going to seem perfect to all.
I used to include Tim Scott in this group, but Tim openly allows Race to influence every decision he makes.
His support can be quickly withdrawn due to what the Race Card holders are saying.
