What gets me about this “sexual orientation” identity, is that any of us could claim to be a homosexual, and who would know any differently? Any of us could dress in line with the opposite sex and claim to be transgender.
Would anyone claim to be something they are not, just to get a job?????

Could be a lot of heat from the players (association). If most of the chiefs are white and most of the indians are black... Oh wait, I’m mixing metaphors. Something about a plantation is the one I think most used here.
Probably also social pressure. I don’t know how they do it, but these groups are extremely successful at making large corporations nervous. Someday their tactics will get exposed.
If you are one of the teams who already has a minority on your offense coaching staff, you’re golden. You actually picked them based on their merits. Everyone else is going to have to fight over the remainder who have experience and talents. Somehow I also suspect there will be a few positions that are more symbolic. But I am cynical that way
Why are they doing this for the offensive coaching staff? What about defense? Isn’t this discriminatory on the face of it?
Can it be a white guy who “identities” as diverse? Honestly, it shouldn’t make any difference, should it?

And if I showed for the job interview with a beard and a dress, would they hire me as a transgender? And if I then showed up for work every day in a suit and a tie, would they fire me?
This is all just crazy.
Hmmmm. I interact with people everyday and not one of them is the same as the other. Is that diverse enough? No?
Just have a few of the existing coaches identify as something or other.
12% of coaching staff is black, 13% of population in the US is black.
It sounds like they are well represented to me.

Most of the new head coaches are from offense.
I haven’t watched an NFL game since the 2017 season (when taking a knee became common among NFL players); but I did make an exception on January 20, 2019 (Saints vs Rams), the infamous no-call pass interference. I haven’t watched an NFL game since.
Easy peasy. Just have the white guy’s self identify as a woman. Even Supreme Court nominees will be able to be fooled. Nothing to it. Who can argue? No one, lest they be cancelled...
I doubt if they’re talking about skin color with this!
This is blatantly racist. However, which owner or white assistant offensive coach candidate is going to file the first discrimination lawsuit? Until someone does, this will stand. Funny how they wouldn’t even think to propose such a rule a few years ago for fear of the backlash from non-racist fans or the overwhelming negative press. Like Disney, they don’t care about backlashes anymore, just woke ideology. What a sad state of affairs we are in as a nation.
