The White House is working to put advanced anti-ship missiles in the hands of Ukrainian fighters to help defeat Russia's naval blockade, officials said, amid concerns more powerful weapons that could sink Russian warships would intensify the conflict.
Ukraine has made no secret it wants more advanced U.S. capabilities beyond its current inventory of artillery, Javelin and Stinger missiles, and other arms. Kyiv's list, for example, includes missiles that could push the Russian navy away from its Black Sea ports, allowing the restart of shipments of grain and other agricultural products worldwide.

How long before we are run out of the Gulf of Mexico?
“ Run the Russians out of the Black Sea.”
Out or to the bottom
Shrug... Then they can just use subs to torpedo ay Uke cargo ships. They can also target the harpoon sites for missile attacks. And the US Taxpayer takes it up the azz yet again.
Did you draw that yourself Nina?
From 91 until the 2014 coup, they didn’t care because their navy base went on as normal. But with the ethnic cleaning in the Donbass sure to happen if Ukraine could get into Crimea (they can’t) the Russians won’t let it go.
And despite the fantasies of DC, Crimea will never become a NATO navy base. It’s been a Russian navy base since the 1780s, they fought the Crimean war there, they fought a dreadful battle there against the German nazis... they won’t be letting it go.
Hush
Crimea or the Donbas, and any attempt to remove them from either will result in a tactical nuke being used.

You have knowledge from inside the Orc high command, aka Pootie Toot? Was this secret knowledge passed to you via your FSB handlers? Or are you just blowing the usual boring fear-mongering propaganda smoke?
I hope the Biden administration disappears up its own collective rectum. Thats what they deserve anyway.
But in a way these characters are just fallout, a symptom of your real problems.
Ever heard of Russian submarines, missiles & aircraft?
Ukraine will not have a port when this is over, if we keep upping the ante, and we are.
It had Sevastopol by lease.
Exactly.
the possibility that this could motivate the Russians to invade ALL of Ukraine’s southwestern territories

If only they had the manpower ... wait they don’t even have the manpower to close one tiny pincer north from Popasna. And now you want them to attack all of the SW?
Exclusive: U.S. aims to arm Ukraine with advanced anti-ship missiles to fight Russian blockade
Whatever it takes to prolong the war.
What would they invade with?

According to some they just unleashed their fearsome laser weapon - flying sharks with lasers ... Ukraine is doomed ... run.
According to US doctrine. Russian doctrine is to blow up half the world with artillery while presuming that they will not have air superiority.
You might start here: Why and How Russia's artillery might be better than competitors.
There is a lot of merit in the Russian position. Despite air superiority and lots of fancy weapons, the US has been losing the ground war for most of modern history. We were ground to a standstil in Korea due to well dug in forces and superior mobility of the Norks / Chinsese on broken ground. Same in VietNam, Afghanistan and Iraq. Yeah in the last two we one lighining battles through air power, but could never control what happened on the ground, not enough to "win" anything whatever winning even meant.
Which is the other thing. What does winning look like in Ukraine. How does the war end? A smoking crater in DC and a nonexistent supply chain after the Chinese take Taiwan.
We are playing chutes and ladders, the Russiand are playing chess and the Chinese are playing GO.
Ukraine and Russia were still mostly buddies during that period and Russia felt no need to upset the status quo. Things obviously changed after the 2014 coup.
There were no permanent NATO bases built in the post-1997 NATO members until now.
Russia certainly won't want to give it up, and I don't think the Ukrainians will have the forces to retake it. My point was that they were able to live without Crimea for a long time, so there's no particular reason for them to threaten nukes over it now.
One of the ironies of history is that John Paul Jones served as a Rear Admiral in the Imperial Russian Navy on the Black Sea.
I think you’ve got that backwards.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Neocon swine.
