Disgraced ex-FBI official Peter Strzok is suing the Department of Justice, alleging that his 2018 firing was political in nature.
Strzok’s infamous anti-Trump text messages with FBI lawyer Lisa Page that appear to promise that the FBI would stop Trump from getting elected proved to be a stunning blow to the perceived impartiality of the nation’s top law enforcement agency.
The most noteworthy of Strzok’s texts was on Aug. 15, 2016: “I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office that there’s no way he [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40…”
In response to the lawsuit, the Department of Justice released a draft of the 2018 letter by David Bowdich, the former deputy director of the FBI, firing Strzok — proving that his firing wasn’t political.
“While there is no doubt your 21 years of service to the organization cannot and should not be erased, it is difficult to fathom the repeated, sustained errors of judgment you made while serving as the lead agent in two of the most high profile investigations in the country,” Bowdich wrote. “Though the Office of the Inspector General found no evidence of bias impacted any of your or the FBI’s investigative actions or decisions, your sustained pattern of bad judgment in the use of an FBI device has called into question for many of the decisions made during both the Clinton e-mail investigation and the initial states of the Russian Collusion investigation.”
“In short, your repeated selfishness has called into question the credibility of the entire FBI.”

A draft.
They should see some of the things I’ve written but never sent and are still sitting in my Drafts folder. They’d make a Drill Sergeant blush.
They should have wired his mouth shut
The solution to this kind of lawsuit is simple. All government employment should be at will. A simple, “you’re fire” will suffice then. No reasons for termination are required. Of course, public sector unions need to be eliminated for that to occur.
It is a violation of Federal Law to use a Federal position politically. Yes I know that it is ignored broadly, but Strzxass has no legal grounds to sue. Any Federal employee can be fired for what he did.
...yeah, but the deep state rewards program makes this a big pffft.
szrok destroyed “the Jimmy Stewart image” of the FBI.
Though I was vetted for both the military and the federal goverment, in my career, as of his time of antics, he destroyed my faith in that organization.
This guy told folks “there was no big there , there” about russiagate. They were not going to accept that answer though. Now he is a fall guy.
Unless he’s serving a court ordered sentence as a mandatory Walmart Greeter by day and in a jail cell by night, I don’t want to hear or see anything related to the smug jack-ss Peter Strozk and the entire cabal of his ilk at the DOJ.
I’m sure he’s crying all the way to his new 7 figure no-show gig with some non-profit in fairfax county
It won’t affect his gig at CNN.
The Deputy Director called Strzok’s behavior missteps? Must be the new FBI code word for deliberate, illegal acts to interfere with a Presidential election, and Republican Administration. Bowditch made it sound like Strzok’s behavior was simply a series of bad decisions, when it was outright treason.
Guess we aren’t “nuanced” enough. 😂✌
“In short, your repeated selfishness has called into question the credibility of the entire FBI.”
Well, David, you should take your time and release this letter so fewer people will care or notice....
In better times many traitors would be standing in front of a brick wall wearing a blind fold and smoking a cigarette..
It’s my understanding this leftist ghoul still has a job with the CIA or something..... Seems to me like firing from the FBI should be an automatic NO in hiring anywhere else like the CIA.
It hasn’t been just him and that Lisa Paige tramp that destroyed my faith in the FBI et al. It’s been so much more. Their actions were just higher profile is all.
