Low flush toilets are another crap solution forced on the public. I don’t use CFLs but I’d like my old fashioned toilets back.

And my incandescent bulbs.

When it was cold outside we would turn on an incandescent lamp to take the chill off a room. Now, we just have to turn up the thermostat.

Guess which takes less energy!

This is non of Biden’s or the government’s business. They pick winners and losers while subverting people’s free choice. They are commies, plain and simple and work against the free market.

The only good commie is a dead commie.

I wonder which one of Jo Jo’s moronic Homo Snowflakes or Evil Disney Princesses came up with this idea. Those bass turds need to get a life.

Does the light switch have a dimmer? If so, it might be a non-dimmable light.

the standard would be more than doubled to more than 120 lumens per watt. Commonplace 60-watt equivalent lightbulbs would only require a maximum of 6.5 watts,

The first set of LED bulbs I found on Lowe's had these specs:

60 Watt replacement using only 8.5 Watts (760 lumens)

Or about 90 lumens per watt. So modern LED bulbs will have to be replaced with more expensive ones. Right now LED bulbs are so cheap to run that I don't bother turning them off when I leave the room like I had been trained to from childhood. I also do things like leave porch lights on all night that I never would have done with 60 W incandescens.

I wonder how much of the typical household electric bill is lighting with current LED bulbs? How much will a 25% decrease in electricity usage on that part really save?

I agree with what Conservative in Pennsylvania posted to Chicago Conservative. And it is nice to see conservatives up there in Yankee land. Greetings from the Heart of Dixie.

>> Why can’t they just let us buy the bulbs we want ???

Because “the Erf has a fever” and your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness is the cause!

Oh yeah and they want... sorry, NEED... to control everything at the global level.

By the way, have you tried the fried crickets?

why is government (once again) involved in every aspect of our lives? Let the free market shake this out——

No kidding.

>>but why is government (once again) involved in every aspect of our lives?<<

That’s the entire purpose of government ever since its conception.
Sheesh folks, wake up.

Brandon’s puppeteers must be trying to boost the stock of companies producing these lights by creating a panic rush to buy everything on the shelf. Market manipulation at its finest.

I am sure someone made serious coin as those stupid curly-cue bulbs were sold to the public.

That is the heart of the issue. Not how much anyone prefers the eldritch glow of LED light.

I wonder sometimes if demonrats or chinese are gaining access to old accounts of the deceased as readily as commandeering their votes.

Patriots are reminded not only that POTUS has power only to either sign or veto bills from Congress, but any bill from Congress had better be reasonably based on Congress's constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.

And the words “Green New Deal” are not found in Section 8.

So corrupt Congress is once again hiding behind corrupt POTUS when Congress should be impeaching POTUS imo.
