The U.S. Census Bureau reported Thursday that 300,000 people left California in 2022, more than left any other state, amid a general slow increase in the U.S. population as the country recovered from COVID-19.

The estimates cover the period from July 2021 to July 2022.

It was the third consecutive annual decline for California, the Sacramento Bee noted, though births outnumbered deaths.

NJ lost population again even taking into account the foreign invader replacements; we are running out of Americans to pay for everything. We tried to get the rest of the country to subsidize it with federal tax deductions for our sky-high property/municipal taxes which pay for everything, but that scam fell apart.

When will the Western USA get serious about needing to build lots of water desalination plants along the west coast and gulf coast to meet the water supply needs? Lake Powell and Lake Meade need to both be refilled and the total outflow of water out of Hoover Dam cut by at least 50% for the next 10 years.
