Heart of Navajo country. Firearms plus firewater not good.

More like edge of Navajo country. This was in the middle of town in an area mainly older homes, only businesses close are a couple funeral homes and a few dentist offices, no firewater drinking holes. An elementary school about a half mile from the area. Seems a strange place to plan this type of shooting, but stranger things happen it seems.

Ninety % of NM is basically no mans land just like it was during frontier times. The only difference is radios and cars.

It does indeed! When federal agencies step out of their wheel house and interfere in state or local matters before being called in to perform their job duties according to their specific and legal mission, the people get used to it. That’s the way the government slowly reduces our freedoms.

There are only 500 State Police covering 120,000 square miles. Two of my nephews were on the force years ago, the biggest problem they had was that the rural communities were completely impenetrable by law enforcement.

It’s an unique almost mystical state. Tony Hillerman captures it pretty well in his novels.

In my “Rampage” days I played in Farmington. I think it was the first night, a couple was sitting at a table directly in front of the bandstand and another woman came in, tipped the table over on them (obviously a jealous wife/girlfriend) and pulled out a pistol. I don’t know what happened next because I scurried behind my 3’ diameter Paiste Gong.

I’m guessing the Apaches won.

Woof! Good venues. I played Las Cruces, Albaturkey, and Roswell.

Got food poisoning in Farmington. Right in the middle of the set, I fell off my drum stool unconscious. Everyone thought it was part of the act.

Had food poisoning two times. Didn’t much care for it. Never on stage luckily.

...active shooting incident...

Why has this phrase become so popular? It's a shooting. Simple.

Farmington Police say a shooter killed three civilians and injured two police officers...

Police are civilians. It's worrisome they don't realize that.

I suspect the perp had a FBI handler and was on SSRI medications. There is absolutely nothing too horrible that the left and deep state will not do to maintain their power as they destroy our nation. Right now, they want gun-control and to achieve that they need more senseless shootings.

And, as to the Durham report, the media is not just gullible, but also culpable. You can tell the guilty parties in the media. For the dog that doesn’t bark says even more than the dog quietly grumbling at something while sitting in the corner.

Update on the NM shooter:

https://www.theblaze.com/news/steve-hebbe

“Three victims died and six others were injured in a mass shooting in Farmington, New Mexico, on Monday, authorities said. The shooter was also killed by a responding officer.

Farmington Police Chief Steve Hebbe said early investigative efforts indicate the shooting was “completely random,” with no targeting of specific victims.

“[Today] is honestly one of the most horrific and difficult days that Farmington has ever had as a community,” Chief Hebbe said in a video statement posted to the law enforcement agency’s Facebook page.

“During the course of today, an active shooter engaged numerous citizens and then finally was engaged by the police before the rampage stopped. ... Ten people were injured, four of them killed, including the suspect.””

Thanks for the link.

The chief described one of the weapons as an "AR-style rifle."

I've had about enough of this phrase.

Finally a name! Shooter was Beau Wilson, 18, a student at Farmington High School.

He used three firearms one an AR-15 style rifle! an AR-15 style rifle!
an AR-15 style rifle!
an AR-15 style rifle!

No mention of the other two firearms he used. All news services mention “three firearms, one an AR-15 style rifle!”

Here is some interesting news about the shooter..
