Farmington Police confirm 3 civilians are dead and 2 officers were injured in an active shooting incident.
Police say there are multiple civilian victims in the shooting.
Police confirm that one suspect was confronted by officers and has been killed.
The officers who were shot are being treated for their injuries at San Juan Regional Medical Center.
Police say Dustin Avenue from Ute Street to Apache street is closed as they investigate the incident.

I'm guessing that this is yet another false flag operation. Run out of the ATF instead of the FBI this time.
The ATF is not supposed to be a first or even second or third responder... They should only be involved when local / state police want to trace how the criminals got their firearms, explosives , alcohol or tobacco.

It is amazing how quickly ATF was on the scene. Why should the ATF so quickly be involved? It’s much the same as the FBI quickly arriving on scenes practically at the time a “mass” shooting starts.

There was a massive call-out last week in Rio Rancho (suburb to Albuquerque) involving US Marshals, Rio Rancho PD, Albuquerque PD, Bernalillo County Sheriff and others for a dude who walked away from a halfway house after he cut off his ankle monitor. He’d been arrested for making pipe bombs and other charges. I wonder if this is somehow related given how fast ATF got there. Albuquerque is a three hour drive from Farmington.

Farmington was dangerous when I first lived there in 1954-1956.
When I moved back in 1973, it had a higher crime rate than Philadelphia, PA.
Now the power plants are closing and lots of people out of work it is even worse!
I still love that area!
Albuquerque is really scary. Wife and I stayed there overnight 2 years ago while moving to Oklahoma from Oregon. Never again.

Apparently earlier there were reports of a second shooter. Then magically any reports of a second shooter disappeared. It’s amazing how often that happens.

Farmington, NM getting some trigger time here lately. Lots of trouble makers in Farmington. 3 !ess today.
It appears not all the dead were perps. Apparently, the shooter was killing others when the officers were called. I guess more details will come out later. It could be gang-activity or a drug deal gone bad. Or, it could be domestic violence. And possibly just a crazy shooting innocent people. But at least the thug is dead. Sometimes swift justice is the best.
Of course, no matter what, get ready for even more calls for gun-control.
