Judge declines to dismiss Lake’s bid for access to ballot affidavit envelopes
Arizona Capitol Times ^ | 6/26/23 | Kiera Riley

A Maricopa County superior court judge declined to dismiss Kari Lake’s public records bid for access to ballot affidavit envelopes today.

Maricopa County argued the ballot affidavit signatures are part of the voter registration record and are therefore rendered confidential by state law, aside from a few choice exceptions which county attorneys claimed Lake failed to meet.

Judge John Hannah rebuffed the argument as the incorporation of ballot affidavit envelopes into the voter registration records is not mandated nor defined by law, but common practice among county recorders.

Hannah ruled from the bench and said the court is “not required to defer to the elections officials in how they have historically interpreted” the law. He noted he had “no quarrel” with interpretation but said he did not agree with it.

So this hearing apparently happened on Monday, and it appears Kari Lake continues to fight and move forward even if on smaller and smaller issues. I've seen nothing reported on this win for her so thought I'd post this article and see if any locals had any insights.

As much as I want her to win, yes the election was a sham, and I admire her for fighting. But it is time to move on and start focusing on a Senate run. Sinema has slammed the door on the DemonRats (good for her).

In a three way race (Sinema, a Democrat and Lake) Lake wins, hands down.

What the hell is WRONG with this judge! By allowing her to examine ballots for signs of fraud, does he not know he risks putting the 2024 Steal in jeopardy?

Voter fraud is over the top and through the roof.

God bless and protect this judge.

But it is time to move on and start focusing on a Senate run.

Someone has to stick with the issue, or the Democrats will simply claim there's nothing there and keep cheating as they have been. The Democrats thrive on Americans' short memories.

If her case can’t be appealed to higher and higher courts, we will never see fair elections again. I believe the election system is the only issue that we should focus on before 2024. If the fraud isn’t fixed, the People are being ruled by the Government permanently. I know it’s obvious, but worth saying.

The Gateway Pundit has a reporter on the ground in Arizona, who’s doing some really great reporting on the ongoing situation with Kari Lake:

Have you thought that just maybe Kari Lake doesn’t want to be an AZ Senator?

She wants to be Governor.

She will finish this fight!

I don't disagree with that, but, where will she be more effective: as a Don Quixote fighting on the plains of Maricopa. or as a Senator, fighting where something can be done?

Take a look at what she is up against in AZ: The Swamp Stikes Back

>where will she be more effective

As one senator of 100, which even if technically has a GOP majority her own caucus would likely still be RINO dominated. Or as governor of a swing state, with a solid GOP legislature ready to spit out not only Rats but RINOs. Fix AZ and its elections and a GOP president becomes conceivable. As one senator she can't do nearly as much.

“In a three way race (Sinema, a Democrat and Lake) Lake wins, hands down.”

In an HONEST three or even a two way race, Lake wins.
But I do not think we will see an honest race.
In a three way race, I fully expect Ruben Gallego will be our next senator. I suspect that has already been decided by The Party.

Please observe the complete and utter lack of bias in the title, “judge refuses to dismiss case.” Shortened, no doubt, from “Obstinate and boneheaded judge refuses to dismiss case, notwithstanding mountains of evidence that the election was one of the most secure in history, with absolutely no evidence whatsoever of any irregularities at all.”

A close friend of mine had her ballet invalidated even after spending 3 hrs waiting in line in Scottsdale.

Every chance that Lake gets to expose the fraud is a step towards making sure this doesn’t happen again in Arizona.

For someone to wait in line three hours to vote just to have their vote invalidated shows there was deep and planned corruption of the election in Maricopa County. Any honest election office would have demanded answers, fired those responsible, and make sure that vote was counted.

The reason they are fighting so hard is not 2024, but 2020. Everyone who has paid any attention to this issue knows that if they are forced to admit fraud in 2022, it will also be taken as admission of fraud in 2020.
