CHICAGO — A Chicago police officer has died after being shot multiple times in the Gage Park neighborhood on the city’s Southwest Side while returning home from duty overnight.
Chicago Police Department Supt. Larry Snelling confirmed in a briefing Sunday morning outside the University of Chicago Medical Center that the officer was pronounced dead.

When the left has eliminated a significant percentage of the police force and demoralized the rest... what’s to deter three or four busloads of militia from coming from different directions and converging on a trouble spot to sanitize it?

Back in the Golden Age of “wooden shampoos,” if a Chicago cop was shot, the CPD would turn the entire neighborhood upside down until the perp was identified, located and then received his just desserts while resisting arrest. All before the sun rose the next morning.
Everyone knew the rules and things like this didn’t happen often.
Cop killers have a special place in the hearts of democrats. I predict a professorship at Occidental or Columbia.

Yes, when officers were killed all the others and brass turned out in uniform to show solidarity. Not sure if that happens now aside from Blue Bloods.

........governments in the US, hobbled by DEI and Affirmative Action hiring and elected officials for decades have proven that they could not and cannot fix a flat tire on a child’s bicycle.
Until a semblance of meritocracy returns to the City of Chicago, things are just going to get worse and worse. We don’t have enough troops to put in all the blue cities. When the cops start quitting in mass, militias and the true meaning of the 2nd amendment are right around the corner.
