I'll start. Everytime I saw you on TV, whenever I picked up your book for a quick reread of a chapter, I drew strength from your convictions and your resolve. I know you are in a better place now, but, I will still miss you. God speed fine lady.

I loved her because she stood resolutely for old-fashioned common sense and decency. That was no small thing in modern day Washington.

Barbara, we will miss your smiling face and your courage to speak up against evil. God bless you.

What a wonderful person you produced. She made a difference, she worked and studied to make a difference. In the short life she had, she did so much for her country. She was brave when she was faced with death. She was, simply, brave. Be proud, and love her as we do. She was a gift from God, that enhanced our lives until God decided He needed her more than we did.
Bless you, and keep the memory of Barbara in your heart, as I will.

A GREAT, GREAT, GREAT LADY!!!
To: Bob J, BKO
I loved her quick wit. Very little got past her in a debate, and she had a knack for delivering the most devastating retorts with such irresistable charm, that it must have been delight just to be put down by her. She could think on her feet like nobody else.
Godspeed BKO. I'm proud to have shared this website with you.

I have been in shock and numb all day. Barbara put a personal face on the massive horror. An articulate, courageous, intelligent woman that I was always proud of. I am angry...I am inconsolable for her family...For America. My prayers for Ted and her family.

Bright, bubbly, beautiful, vivacious, very bright, very bubbly, very beautiful, very vivacious. And scrappy to the very end. What guts to call on her cell phone and give information to her husband. This information will be extremely helpful in solving whodunit, although I think we all know the answer. An eye for an eye. Osama for Barbara. Her husband and family have my deepest sympathy. I am so glad she and her husband were able to talk to one another before disaster struck. So sad. She will be missed by all Freepers.

I watched Barbara with awe on Sunday on C-Span and she handled herself with class. I observed her on several occasions on television and wished that many Americans had the intelligence, class, and insight that she possessed. I cannot believe that we have lost so many today and she one of them. May God be with you and your family, Barbara is in heaven.
To: Bob J
She was a true patriot right to the end calling her husband to report the hijacking......what a lovely sweet brave lady....may God rest her soul and comfort her family.

Barbara,
I so admired your strength and resolve, your sweet smile and your moral integrity.
You will be sorely missed.
To: Bob J
I can't do it Bob. Maybe I'll have better luck next month when I see you.

It was hearing about Barbara Olsen that finally reduced me to tears. A wonderful woman. Her cool headed phone call to her husband from the plane revealed the terrorists method of getting weapons aboard, and prewvented it being used again. A warrior to the end.

Not only was she a brilliant woman, she was beautiful inside and out.

I am so saddened over Barbara's death. The accounts of her calling her husband while she was on the plane, knowing all too well that she was in eminent danger, was an unbelievable act of courage!
I will miss her and the way she always stood by her convictions and never waivered from them.
Godspeed fine lady and god bless your family. I am so sorry that you lost your life like so many other innocent Americans!

I got through all the news this morning fairly calmly, without tears, just sort of numb, I guess, until I heard that Barbara was gone. That made all the tragedy suddenly "personal" -- someone I really liked and admired was dead. That was the first time there were tears in my eyes. Mr. Olsen and the rest of Barbara's loved ones, I am so sorry for your loss.
