*****divisive "war on terrorism" *****
LOL! Its only "divisive" if liberals are oppossed to it.LMAO.
To: jern
*****America needs a full, open, publicly-televised investigation into 9-11,*****
....where only republicans are investigated, i bet !
To: jern
The dispicable Ted Rall, the man who mocked Danny Pearl's widow.
I would never advocate that he be beaten with tire chains....nope, not me.
To: jern
A year has passed since September 11th. Yet we, the American people, still don't know exactly what happened. There are still no plans for a public investigation of how more than 3,000 Americans lost their lives, what could have been done to prevent the attacks or reduce their impact.
I believe that hijacked airplanes flew into the WTC and Pentagon, while another crashed in Pennsylvania. That's how this all transpired last time I checked.
Besides, everyone knows that George W. Bush is at fault for this. He was supposed to personally kill all of the hijackers in all four planes simultaneously with his bare hands. < /sarcasm>

KEEE-Rice , Ol' Ted done gone off the deep end on this one... You look for consistency in a person.
Unfortunately, Ted can only remember some of his WH soirees .. Must have some good videos of him, I rekkun ..

A year has passed since September 11th. He can't write, and he can't count.
And he's not much of a cartoonist either.
So there.
To: jern
Yah! That's right, Ted!
You go, boy!
As in, "away".
Ted Rall is living proof that Second Rate, petty, little men can draw poorly, think poorly, and write poorly. An unfocused screed this long, filled as it is with Blak Helikopterz speculation and the usual rants against Bush and Cheney. I didn't look closely, but did he mention the "Stolen Election": it's almost de riguer for any left winger to scream "President-Select" at George W. Bush. Just scream "2000 Election" in a room full of Democratic Lefty activists and you'll see them react like a bunch of Hitler Youth at a bookburning.
But at least he can type. The next time Ted Rall writes his next vituperative piece of billingsgate, just think of Ellsworth Toohey writing screeds against Howard Rourke.

Chris

Maybe we should investigate, might find that ol clintoon was so busy with interns and women that he blew it, or it was blown while he was.

That was my first thought too - this piece is inaccurate from the very first line.

And I thought I could type!
Truth in advertising: I made a couple of severe grammatical errors in my previous post. Please accept my apologies in advance.

Why were only 12 jets patrolling U.S. airspace?Yeah, right!! If he found out this to be the case before Sept 11, he would of been mocking this too and calling it an antiquated[sic?], paranoid waste of taxpayer money.

If Harrison Ford can do it, why can't Dubya? </sarcasm off>

Monday morning quarterbacking this issue will get us nowhere. 3,000 Americans lost their lives because many factors were in play. The INS and State Department policies do not protect the United States: Lax visa laws; training schools for pilots with no way of really checking the veracity of the student and wanting the money anyway: Universities and colleges pushing mul·ti·cul·tur·al·ism claiming they want the diversity and the
money it brings: Lax security at airports and on the plane itself: Profiling and political correctness: EPA rules that stopped the use of heat resistant materials in the Twin Towers while being built...materials that might have stopped the massive imploding had steel girders been protected: Linda Daschle lobbing for the airlines
NOT to have to increase security because of the money it takes.: Al Gore on whose watch let the FAA take a pass in many areas: The Clinton years instead of beefing up our national security, sold it and let National Security from the CIA to Los Alamos lapse into a limbo of willful disrepair.
To try and blame a new administration for years of disregard, bad policy in the departments responsible for our security, Albright's department comes to mind, cannot and will not ever repair the damage done to life, limb and real estate.
3,000 Americans lost their lives because we didn't care about who came to our country and why.

What did Bush know and when did he know it? A few months ago it was revealed that, while vacationing in Crawford, Texas on August 6, 2001, Bush had received an "analytical report" warning from National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice ( news - web sites) that a terrorist attack was imminent. What was the exact nature of that warning? How detailed was it? Should Bush have cut short his vacation and headed back to Washington? That paragraph alone is proof that this entire article is nothing more than a desperate attempt to launch a smear campaign against President Bush. The author doesn't care about what really happened on 9/11. He just wants to politicize the terrorist acts and help the Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections.
The attempt to link Bush's August vacation with the terrorist attacks is disgusting. As if the terrorists would have changed their plans had Bush not vacationed in Texas that summer. Pathetic.

Yoe, you nailed it, baby! Although my rational side says it's useless to blame the Clintoon administation for 9-11, I still can't help (based on all the info that has since come out) but wonder if this whole thing could have been avoided if he and his cronies had not spent time in the White House.

I should add this caveat to what I said, however - I in no way support or agree with liberalism and I can't even begin to describe what I think of the Clintons. Mr. Rall is right about one thing - we should be angry, but not at President Bush. Go back and question the previous 8 years.
