I know Steyn is itching for a war, but it's not going to happen until sometime after the election. But that's less than six weeks away, and both the Congressional debate and the UN manueverings are sure to dominate the news between now and then.
The Democrats are hosed, and there is nothing they can do about it.

Mr. Steyn catalogues the trap the Rats were maneuvered into, but apparently thinks it is just dumb luck.
By the way, President Bush did not spend the summer doing nothing, as can be seen by who has lined up with us.
And it is Mr. Steyn's bad luck that Daschle caved yesterday, and the resolution was sent to Congress this morning, and it will have FORCE as an option.
I need to be in the pundit business. I was willing to give Steyn a break, but two columns in a row are way off mark. Jeesh!

Time to flush Steyn until we actually start taking out the Islamo Fascist Trash in Iraq?
What GW did to Da$$hole and his fellow al Qaeda Rats, if done to animals would be considered cruel and inhuman.
However, since Da$$hole and his fellow al Qaeda Rats in Congress are not humans, they deserve this torture rack GW has put them in.
When Tony Blair releases his package on Saddam next week, the squealing from the Euro Trash to our al Qaeda Rats will reach crescendo levels. Music to the ears of conservatives.

Steyn is a treasure for our cause, even if you disagree with him here and there.

Wellstone is going to lose if there is a vote before election. He might lose even if there is no vote. Talent will win, Forrester will win, Thune has a good chance but not a gimme. That is a pickup of four if we hold our incumbent seats. I think we can and will do it.

Steyn is like alot of conservative commentaters: very, very impatient. He wants everything.......NOW! Saddam dead NOW! House of Saud demolished NOW! Everything changed NOW!
One thing we've learned about George W. Bush is that he is a patient man. He will let things take their course. He is following the plan.
2 in a row is unusual for Steyn. Maybe he has a stomach virus of something. hehe

I'm pretty convinced we can count on George to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.
It's a 'Bush Thang' after all.

>The American Prospect gave Minnesota leftie Senator Paul Wellstone the full Monica the other day in a drooling campaign profile broken up by sub-headings such as The Draw of Conscience. I believe in Pauls conscience, says Karen Jeffords, a mental-health worker.
Is this the same conscience who said he'd run only for two terms and then went back on his promise?

It's too bad Mr. Steyn included the last paragraph in what is otherwise an excellent piece. He would do well to re-read the rest of his own article to convince himself the president has not been idle:
"If I were running for office, Im not sure how Id explain to the American people saying, Vote for me, and, oh, by the way, on a matter of national security, I think Im going to wait for somebody else to act."
Sounds to me like he's very comfortable in the bully pulpit on this issue.

Actually, the only remaining question is how much longer the Democrats most visible spokesman can afford to go on making himself look like a total idiot. What question does he still need answered? Whats the capital of Iraq?BWAHAHAHAHA!!!HOOHOOHOOHOO!...HAHAHAHA!!
