I pray for all those who suffer, in the hope that their suffering will end.
I also pray that my own suffering will end too someday.
May God have Mercy on all of us.

When the Moderator removes a post, does it go to something like an internet Purgatory? I've never figured out the ultimate fate of those electrons.

There are NO favorite sons, we all are divine; made in His Image, restore us let's climb. The Path is the ultimate destiny of all.

I'm no expert. Maybe the word "purgatory" is found in some of the books of the Catholic's Bible.
If it is true that purgatory is mentioned in the Catholic's Bible, is it also true that only the Catholic priests can interpret the scriptures for Catholics?
So, I guess, we have to just "trust" the Priests when they tell us about "purgatory." Hmmmmmmm.

It means that someone is trying to remind the people in her religion to do something nice in a way that this person believes in. You do not have to join in if you do not want to. Why are you searching for something more?
To: Cagey
Christmas is the time in which more souls are released from further suffering in purgatory than at any other time. Remember to mention them in your prayer petitions today. And once they are released, they will pray for you from Heaven I'm sorry but when very specific controversial theology like this is posted, Christians have a duty to discern whether it is scriptually valid or not. Although there is no scripture basis for the concept of purgatory, it is accepted by Roman Catholic theology and tradition. But this very specific concept of more souls being released on Christmas day etc is getting far fetched and is not supported by scripture or any established Christian teaching that I'm aware of. So I respectfully challenge the scriptural validity of the statement posted.
