Well Freepers after 212334 miles I think my Honda Accord has final given up the ghost. I promised myself that I would by an American Made Car(AMC)this time around and since I value the opinions of my fellow Freepers I thought I would ask you. I don't want to pay over $14,000, I am looking for something a little sporty and somthing in a 2 door.

Carmax has a nice 99 Firebird that I thought about buying, but give me some of your opinions on late model American Cars.

Corvette.
It won't go as long as your Honda did, but it'll get there first.

sure you don't want to buy an SUV? ;)

A big black guy in a SUV, some liberal might think I am a terrorist or a supporter of terrorism. Wait that right liberals don't think, I might checking into one, but last time I checked Maryland kills you on insurance for owning a SUV.

Well Freepers after 212334 miles I think my Honda Accord has final given up the ghost. Well, looking at the other comments it appears that today isn't your day to receive free (and good) advice on the internet.
Adding to the trend, I will comment that my Toyota Camry is up to 159,000 miles, and your mileage gives me hope that it can carry on for a few more years.

How about a Mustang, new 2003s here in Kansas City are selling for about $15,500.
Or if you really want to go spooorty my son has a Raucsh Stage 3 that he would like to sell for at least TWICE want you want to spend :-(
You might want to take a look at Edmunds or Kelly Blue Book sites for some pricing info as well.

It's not sporty, but I hear that there are great deals on two year old Grand Marquis, Crown Victoria, and Continental Town Cars.
