It is. Thanks. But the headline is inexplicable.

Interesting, even though the second sentence contradicts the headline.

If you rearrange the letters in Yazid, you get "Daizy", as in Daizy Cutter. (I know, I know, you're saying "get a life")

"History explains stiff Iraqi resistance at Karbala Gap"

Saddam murders the family of anyone who surrenders. That's why they fight.

All Muslim scholars believe Hussein represents the ultimate total opposition to tyranny and corruption.”

What Karbala Gap resistance?

From the context I would think that the resistance referred to is future resistance against the Americans.

I believe he's referring to the historical Hussein not Saddam.

Despite reports that American soldiers received a friendly welcome in Najaf Wednesday, Fahs said the Iraqi people will “never” accept the notion of Americans as liberators.

"Did I say 'never'? Sorry, I meant 'Wednesday'"....

We went through the Karbala Gap like $hit through a goose.

Patton would have loved this war.
