I know just what you're thinking. Nope, it wasn't that witch. She's still "representing" the people of her "home" state of New York!

Actually, I was thinking of Helen Thomas.

Somehow, some way, it was probably Brigham Young's fault.

objects he allegedly used in casting spells on people.

He probably was doing that ---and in Mexico there are good brujos and bad brujos ---you have to go to one of the good brujos or brujas to get a spell undone.

Reading the article, one is left to wonder whether this so-called "witch" wasn't really a Protestant (possibly Pentecostal) who was murdered due to the fact that he wasn't a synergistic Catholic.

When you want to murder someone, label them a "witch".

When my father had a liquor store, way back when, a long, long, long time ago. one of our cutomers was a group of witches that belonged to a traditional coven, as opposed to Gardnerians. Traditional witches have their "religion" passed down through their parents and apparently can trace their practice in the family quite a few generations.

James Gardner and Englishman in the early 20th century established what is today known as gardnerian witches. It was his idea (wrongfully) that the ancient religion of wicca had become extinct (not so, witches just went underground). Most Gardnerians witches are introduced into wicca with the assumption that what they practice is witchcraft. Most traditional witches remain secretive about their religion and don't go around advertising it.

I got curious about it when I saw one of my customers wearing a pentagram around his neck. That led to my curiosity about modern witchcraft and it was a nice distraction from my Marxist studies at the time. It seems that there is a world stranger than demented leftists out there.

Of course I suspect that Hillary is a Satanist rather than a witch.

Bob Dylan

Well, they'll stone you when you're trying to be so good
They'll stone you just like they said they would
They'll stone you when you're trying to go home
Then they'll stone you when you're there all alone
But I would not feel so all alone
Everybody must get stoned

Well, they'll stone you when you're walking on the street
They'll stone you when you're trying to keep your seat
They'll stone you when you're walking on the floor
They'll stone you when you're walking through the door
But I would not feel so all alone
Everybody must get stoned

They'll stone you when you're at the breakfast table
They'll stone you when you are 'ung and able
They'll stone you when you're trying to make a buck
They'll stone you and then they'll say good luck
Hey, but I would not feel so all alone
Everybody must get stoned

Well, they'll stone you and say that it's the end
Then they'll stone you and then they'll come back again
They'll stone you when you're riding in your car
They'll stone you when you're playing your guitar
Yes, but I would not feel so all alone
Everybody must get stoned

Well, they'll stone you when you are all alone
They'll stone you when you are walking home
They'll stone you and then say they are brave
They'll stone you when you're set down in your grave
But I would not feel so alone
Everybody must get stoned

We need to let more of these creeps sneak across our southern border, huh.

An angry crowd stoned to death an Indian man accused of practicing witchcraft in a southern Mexico town with a long tradition of religious violence.

Where's Samantha and Tabatha when you need them? One little twitch of the mouth and these mean, xenophobic peasants would be gone.

Apparently CNN felt comfortable enough to write about this atrocity. Must be they have no concern about access to the Mexican government for interviews.
