Are you honked off at the article by so-called "reporter" Lara Jakes Jordan of the Associated Press?

Well, here's how you can voice your opinion.

LJordan@ap.org

You can also send a message to her boss.

NPrott@AP.org (I'm pretty sure about the spelling, but not 100% - it's hard to tell when you're calling from Qatar...)

Or you can call or write to the DC bureau where Mrs. Jordan works.

Washington 2021 K Street NW, 6th Floor Washington DC 20006-1082 (202) 776-9400

I agree with your feelings, but I doubt it will do any good to write to Jordan. This sort of liberal operator has no conscience and no shame.

Maybe write to her employer and ask that the story be corrected and the writer fired, based on the facts that:

a) She is a political operator, married to the manager of the foremost Democrat candidate for the presidency.

b) She inserted the key word gay in the article and then flogged it to the gay political groups, when in fact Senator Santorum never used that word never used that word in the remarks she took out of context and pretended to quote.

At the very least, her employers should print a retraction mentioning these facts and distribute it as widely as the original article.

This is the letter I sent them...

Greetings!

I wish to request that the Associated Press terminate the employment of one Lara Jakes Jordan, a reporter from your Washington DC bureau. Mrs. Jordan falsified the intent and content of an article regarding an interview with Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA). She inserted the term "gay" in the article, when such a term was not used in the context of the interview. She, by doing so, has lied. She has violated ethical standards of journalistic integrity (if there is such a thing left at the AP anymore). She should be terminated forthwith, and the Associated Press should offer a public apology to Senator Santorum.

I'd like you to read an editorial I published a few days ago. I think you'll find it illuminating.

Many thanks.

I then sent them the ChronWatch article I did on Saturday. Let's see if it does any good...

excerpted from RepublicanDailyNews.com -

"Why would a legitimate journalist, from the "impartial" media conduct such an interview? Perhaps because Lara Jordan's husband is none other than Jim Jordan, a liberal insider now running, as most of my fellow Baystaters know, Senator John Kerry's presidential campaign. Interesting...but I digress."

Leftists claim they have no problems with morals. How about this justification of a conflict of interest?

Excerpted from the Washington Post

Blaming the Messenger

By Howard Kurtz
Washington Post Staff Writer
Monday, April 28, 2003; Page C01

...Why should a well-regarded journalist be criticized on the basis of her marriage? AP spokesman Jack Stokes says that "any of our reporters' marital status has nothing to do with their stories. That's the professionalism we have." Lara Jordan declined comment.

Jim Jordan says he didn't know "with any specificity" what Santorum had told his wife and that Kerry was one of several Democrats who issued statements at the request of the Hotline political digest. "Even by the usual standards of the right-wing attack machine," he says, "this is just stupid, vicious and sexist."

Has anyone figured out where to email the complaints?

I doubt it'll do any good to write to her. In fact, she'll just whine about receiving hate mail and threats from Santorum's right wing fringe lunatic supporters.

THIS supporter of Senator Santorum uses Google News search, keyword 'santorum' every morning. Up pop the links to news articles relating to the leftist-manufactured, campaign-platform HYPE about Santorum. Some defend him, some are leftist agenda-pandering hit pieces. I go to them, read the article, look for a contact address, and write the appropriate letters. Letters to the editor are frequently published. Nastygrams to lying, leftist POS-es who libel people will just be turned into more propaganda to fuel their Cause of the Day.

What really upsets me is, when I actually read the article in question, it never mentioned her name...it just said AP. I have learned to read the byline before reading ANY newspaper article, thanks to FreeRepublic. However, on doing a Google search for other articles by Mrs. Jordan, it ALWAYS stated her name, followed by AP. Why the secrecy for this article, I wonder. </sarcasm>
