Notice how this Commie is equating the Constitution with the UN Charter, it's scary to think that people are actually talking like that and how it appears in the Newspapers which "most people" (Including Teachers, students and many politicians) think the written word in these liberal rags is the truth.

 

Where on earth is it written that the President of the USA must abide by the UN Charter? There is NO mention about the Stain Maker starting a war in Bosnia with no permission from any entity nor does he decry Clinton for lobbing a few bombs in Iraq with no provocation just before his impeachment proceedings.

CEDAR GROVE - Militarily speaking, the war in Iraq may be over. But to Scott Ritter, former U.N. weapons inspector and vocal opponent of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the work has just begun.

"A lot of people are saying the war is over, that Bush has won - wrong. There's a battle to be fought, and it's a battle worth fighting," he said before a crowd of 365 at New Jersey Peace Action's annual dinner Sunday afternoon. The fight, he said, is to make the president accountable for what Ritter claims has been an unjustifiable war.

The president focused his justification for war around the hunt for weapons of mass destruction. So far, none have been found, Ritter said.

"Here we are, weeks after war has ended and there are no weapons of mass destruction. Where are the weapons?" he said. "We have either been lied to or the president is incompetent. In either case, he doesn't deserve to represent this great country."

The former U.S. Marine and self-described staunch Republican was the top U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq until 1998, when he resigned, claiming that the Clinton administration wasn't tough enough on Iraq.

Since then, he has turned around. He has spoken publicly - and controversially - about how Iraq was 90 to 95 percent disarmed by weapons inspectors. He claims that the Middle Eastern nation could not possess significant biological or chemical weapons because, with the exception of mustard agent, all chemical agent produced by Iraq prior to 1990 would have degraded within five years.

"Today, I'm tossing my party card aside," he said. "Today, I'm redefining myself as an American first."

Ritter spoke of the men and women in the military fighting for the United States, applauding their effort, but calling them just "one face of patriotism."

Being patriotic is not just about going off to war, but practicing basic citizenship - and speaking up when decision-makers err.

"A patriot is not someone who waves a flag in front of a building and says, 'Support the president, support the flag,'" he said. "I could train a monkey to do that."

Ritter had a receptive audience Sunday afternoon. Members of New Jersey Peace Action, a statewide organization founded in 1957, has been active in widespread antiwar protests, vigils and information campaigns in the past year.

"I freely admit that we did not topple the pillars of power, but we shook 'em pretty good," said Kit Marlowe, the organization's vice president.

He urged local groups to mobilize and to make their presence known.

"The peace movement should be the world's second super power," said Madelyn Hoffman, the organization's director.
