Prayer Request (Note: Jabbar is with Jesus but his Mom is stuck here and hurting)

Mary Thompson lowered her head, shut her eyes and held onto the couch as she recalled the last words she heard from her dying teenage son. "I've been shot. Call 911," Jabbar Thompson cried out to his mother before he collapsed on the dining room floor of the family's small home in the 500 block of North Farris Avenue in central Fresno.

Not sure but I remember one time Jabbar told me he wished he could go live with his family there. Now it's too late. But let's keep remembering that Jabbar has gone to a better place. He was too good for this earth. Hallelujah!

Update 6/16/03: It is with a heavy heart that I report to you that last week, Jabbar's older brother, Terelle, was arrested for the shooting death of Jabbar. Everyone is in shock as we thought it might have been one of Terelle's gang friends. Of course, Terelle is presumed innocent until/unless proven guilty but it looks like he is the killer. OF HIS OWN DEAR BROTHER!!! Kind of reminds me of Cain and Abel.

I did see Jabbar's Mom and Dad (Mary and Herman Thompson) in Church yesterday. She looks thin and I asked her if she's eating all right. She says she "eats just enough to stay alive." It was really good to see Herman with her yesterday. We need to continue to pray for Mary.

I'm glad Jabbar is out of this hell hole and if his brother was the one who killed him, I can't say what I want to say because it isn't printable.

Honestly, I never thought for a minute that it was Terelle who killed his own brother but I did suspect one of his "friends". If any more news comes forward, I'll let you guys know. You know, when there are drugs in a person's life, you never know what evil they might do. God bless Mary and Herman and the little brother (Donelle) still at home. There's still hope for the young one.

Thanks for the update. I can't imagine what his mother is going through. One child dead, and the other arrested for his murder. It seems unbearable. Prayers for Mary.
