Jeb Bush Blasts Clinton as 'Most Self Absorbed Person' in U.S.
NewsMax.com ^ | May 31, 2003 | Carl Limbacher

Invoking unusually harsh language, Florida Governor Jeb Bush blasted ex-President Clinton on Friday as selfish and narcissistic for suggesting that the 22nd amendment be modified to allow a president to serve more than two terms.

"Bill Clinton is the most self absorbed person living in America," Gov. Bush told nationally syndicated radio host Sean Hannity.

Asked whether he was troubled by Clinton's persistent public criticism of President Bush, the first brother leveled another broadside, telling Hannity, "President Clinton wouldn't view himself being critical of anybody because he's always thinking about himself. It's all about Bill."

Such a sharp attack on a former president would be unusual coming from a member of any first family, but it's completely unprecedented coming from a close relative of President Bush, who has vowed to bring a "new tone" to national politics and to move on from the political bickering that marked the scandal-scarred Clinton era.

But Gov. Bush's candor is sure to be welcomed by conservatives, many of whom have grown frustrated watching Bill and Hillary Clinton launch one partisan salvo after another at the White House while the president's spokesmen bite their tongues.

Gov. Bush's extraordinarily frank comments about the former president came during the following exchange:

HANNITY: I want to ask you about one question. You know, your father maintained the tradition of former presidents. When he left office, he had a lot of reasons that he could have gone out there and criticized Bill Clinton. And I remember for most of the eight years Bill Clinton was president, your father was not critical in any way, shape, matter or form. And I think he showed a lot of class by doing that.

Bill Clinton has been very critical of your brother, on the other hand. Now he's even talking about repealing the 22nd amendment - not for him, of course. . .

BUSH: [laughing] Yeah

HANNITY: . . . But for future presidents. You want to weigh into these waters or . . .

BUSH: Oh boy. I'll tell you what. All I'll say is that Bill Clinton is the most self absorbed person living in America. And the tradition of former presidents not being critical of their successors, I think, is a very good one. It's why we've had transitions since the beginning of the Republic. And almost all presidents have been very respectful of that. But President Clinton wouldn't view himself being critical of anybody because he's always thinking about himself. It's all about Bill. You do not get it! Billy Boy, wants the law changed so when his witch of a wife becomes president,God for bid, she can serve those extra term as president. Clinton would get an award for the most self centered ex-president we have ever had, if they gave one out.

"Bill Clinton will be remembered as a pile of sh.. between two Bushes."

Here is another good article on "The Clinton Legacy." Nothing new there but it sure rekindled my anger reading it.

A-bloody-men! Just fresh off a fairly hot email argument with a relative - and getting (and rejecting lectures) about laying low and keeping quiet from other conservative relatives. I explained to the appeasers that they live in New England and DC respectively, where the liberal relatives get to strut with sanctimonious pride, and the conservatives have to slink around hiding their GOP affiliation - while all their friends trash Bush up one side and down the other. But - I live in NC - a state with more common sense - and although physically surrounded by fashionable idiots here in Dilworth Charlotte - they know better than to trash Bush in front of me.

But in Warsaw Pact regions of the country - liberals bash conservatives with impunity and wild inaccuracy. When you confront them - they stand aghast. They can't believe it. In closing arguments with the liberal relative I said "Your debating technique is to launch a barrage of fist-sized rocks at your opponent's position - and then howl and whine in outraged indignation when a few come back your way."

Typically, a liberal will sling wild and countless accusations at you - then try to scramble for an exit from any debate about the accusation, as you systemmatically analyze and dispose of each of their ridiculous points. Their counter is to frantically wing even more ridiculous accusations at you - some even directly contradicting their first set.

Ann Coulter lays out in exceptional breadth and detail - these liberal "debating" and smearing techniques (I just finished it). It is the perfect primer for debating a liberal and blocking all his exits....

I am so pleased to see Jeb pull no punches. Because although the President is extraordinarily successful in his new tone - warriors to take the battle to the liberal potshotters are also necessary....

As much as Clinton is disliked, wouldn't Geraldo be a better choice?
Clinton has SOME influence as opposed to Geraldo's babbling.

--Two simple reasons why the Republicans won and are the Majority, and the Democrats are the Minority--

1) The DNC and the Clinton King and Queen were effectively told by the American people....

WERE NOT GONNA TAKE,NO! WERE NOT GONNA TAKE IT...ANYMORE

NO MORE LIES, HATRED, CORRUPTION AND EMBARRASMENT!!!

LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE IN THE TWO PARTIES AND IT IS A NO-BRAINER AS TO WHY THE DNC LOST!

2)

THE RNC WEB PAGE

THE DNC WEB PAGE

THE DIFFERENCE IS APPARENT...THE RNC HAS CLASS AND MORALS AND AN AGENDA THE MAJORITY OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT. THE DNC ARE A BUNCH OF CHILDISH, WHINY LOSERS, THAT DO NOTHING BUT BASH OTHERS ON THEIR WEB PAGE!

AMERICA WISED UP AND BOUGHT A HUMONGOUS CONTAINER OF DRAINO AFTER CUTTING THROUGH THE DEMS PLUMB SNOW JOB WITH CHAIN SAWS. THE $HIT HAS BEEN ALL CLEARED!
