Such an act, the court declared in a 4-3 ruling, is viewing or possessing child pornography, a crime that carries at most an 18-month jail term.

Funny. The NJ Supremos have no problem making up the law as they go along when it comes to elections, education, housing but when it comes to child porn at the library, well, we need to review all the penumbras in the NJ laws "intent".

They're kissing cousins of the Nevada Supremos. Liberals who think they're God.

You know, many states seem to have these "pretrial intervention " programs. NJ certainly does. What it basically equals is a "free pass" on a first offense. You go into the program, never stand trial and if you stay out of trouble for 6-24 mos, your record disappers. Now, if you get in trouble again within that time period, you can be brought up on the original charge as well.
If your kid gets caught drinking in a park maybe you think it's a great program. On the other hand, it equals pretending that a person never did something that is supposed to be against the law.

She added that someone who is "so blatant" as to go to a public library and print out child pornography When was the last time that this person visited a public library?
In big cities, the public library computers tend to attract the hobos and weirdos.

The decision seems kind of strange.
