How Clinton's Beijing deal endangered America

Peter Zhang

Seeing as so many democrats and their allies in the media have been screaming about intelligence failures and the President Bush's foreign policy, I think it's time to once again turn to the Clinton administration and its dangerous dealings with Beijing.

I completely confess to being fascinated by Clinton's Chinese spying scandal. It's like a form of mental super glue — I just don't seem to be able to let go. That he was able to get away with it is still a source of amazement to me, and others acquainted with his Chinese dealings.

So what did Beijing get from the Clintons? I think the answer is obvious. Clinton gave Beijing a free reign and a guarantee that its activities would not be interrupted during, what he quaintly calls, his "watch" so that China could clear out America's military and high-tech secrets. Simple.

Questions regarding Clinton, particularly on this matter, only lead to more questions. How could Beijing be certain that Clinton, even as president of the United States, could make good such a guarantee? One, I think, should start with his governorship of Arkansas. There seems little doubt that Clinton ran it as his personal fiefdom, replacing or shoving aside those who could prove troublesome.

Some would argue that this is the norm. That is probably true in American politics, but not to the corrupt and ruthless extent that Clinton practised it. His approach to power and people is truly Machiavellian. Given this fact, and his support in the media, it is not surprising that reports made out to Chinese intelligence suggested that Clinton would be favourably disposed to dealing with Chinese representatives — for a price.

Intelligence assessments were supported by Clinton's action, shortly after entering (or is it soiling?) the Oval Office, in asking all US Attorneys General to resign. This unprecedented and dictatorial move gave the Clinton administration control over the prosecutorial machinery of the federal government in every judicial district in the US. No need to tell you who was impressed by this breathtakingly brazen move.

Why Clinton even tried to appoint Webster Hubbel to the post of Attorney General. Imagine where that would have led. But what struck a particular chord was the way the American media acquiesced to the Clintons' manoeuvres. Beijing does not underrate the power of the Western media, especially in America. That the media, with the exception of a few lone voices, was prepared to collaborate with the Clintons gave further assurance to Beijing that Clinton was able to deliver.

But what of the CIA and the FBI, asked some readers? I have no wish to be patronising, but the naiveté of the American public is almost touching at times. It didn't even notice that William Sessions, FBI Director, a man noted for his integrity and opposition to political interference in the Bureau's affairs, was removed as quickly as Clinton moved into the Oval office.

There is no doubt that Clinton deliberately acted to chain the CIA and the National Security Agency as well as the FBI. One method was to have Clinton supporters in sensitive positions so that they could delay, if not derail, any budding investigations into Clinton's China operations. Many of these supporters are still in place and owe their loyalty to the Clinton political machine.

With these bodies virtually rendered ineffective by the Democrats Chinese intelligence had a field day. Now being ineffective does not mean uninformed. These agencies new very well what Chinese intelligence was up to but were largely powerless to do anything about it. After all, what could they do when the commander in chief, the president himself, had, by his actions, made it clear that investigations into China's spying activities would not be welcomed.

One of the reasons that Janet Reno was appointed to head the Justice Department was that the Clintons believed she could be relied on to sabotage any investigations into Chinese intelligence operations.

I should point out at this stage that several Chinese officials let it drop that they believed Clinton was blackmailing Reno over certain activities concerning her personal life. Whatever the truth of the matter, Reno's role as the last of Clinton's gatekeepers, so to speak, more than satisfied Beijing's expectations by thoroughly corrupting the Justice Department and blocking FBI requests.

No wonder Beijing was so satisfied with its part of the deal that if felt sufficiently in command to 'request' that Clinton see to it that John Huang be given top security clearance and placed in a favourable position, favourable to Chinese intelligence, that is.

Thus we find Huang being given a position in the Commerce Department, at the insistence of Clinton, where he was able to use his security clearance to directly obtain information from the CIA.

I was told that CIA officials were in no doubt about Huang's activities but were held in check by Clinton, despite CIA complaints. Does any reader honestly believe that Clinton is so innocent that he had no idea why Beijing wanted a security clearance for Huang?

So did Beijing really think it was going to get away with spying activities? Of course it did. And it has. Chinese intelligence expected eventual exposure but calculated that by the time it occurred the damage would be done. It was right. Clinton, not China, emptied the Candy store with devastating results for American security. The consequences will be felt for many years to come.

It's time Americans woke up to what the Clintons and the majority of congressional Democrats did to American security

This info had been out there .. the media choose to ingnore it and pretend it was the big bad VRWC making up stories

Correct.

There is no other explanation for John Huang than that clinton knew he was a spy and would be collecting a fee for the information he would provide. A fee on clinton's behalf. That's why he was given the Commerce position and security clearance, then was moved to the DNC where he retained (though he wasn't supposed to) the security clearance. He then started "fund raising" in his most curious fashion.

It was as plain as day when this all came out way back when and I am glad to see the subject brought up again.

about how Bush is allowing Us smart bomb techology to be moved to China

That is BS .. that company was sold in 1995 under Clinton and it was Robert Rubin that allowed it to go through

This might be interesting to you. Have a newspaper article dated April 8, 1999, reported in the New York Times entitled: SPY REPORTED CHINA'S THEFT OF SECRETS IN 1996--Nuclear weapons data stolen to build neutron bomb

WASHINGTON--In early 1996, the U.S. received a startling report from one of its Chinese spies. Officials inside China's intelligence service, the spy said, were boasting that they had just stolen secrets from the U.S. and had used them to improve Beijing's neutron bomb, according to American officials.

The spy had provided reliable information in the past, and officials said investigators took the report seriously.

China first built and tested a neutron warhead in the 1980s, using what American officials have said publicly, was secret data stolen from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, one of America's key nuclear weapons laboratories.

But the design did not work properly. American officials say that China's 1988 test of the neutron bomb, which kills people with enhanced radiation while leaving buildings intact, was not successful.

Now, the spy was suggesting, Chinese agents had solved the problem by coming back to the U.S. in 1995 to steal more secrets. The spy even provided details of how the information was transferred from the U.S. to China, officials said.

The report prompted a federal criminal investigation, but American officials say they have found no evidence that China has produced an improved neutron bomb.

Sandy Berger, the national security adviser, was first told of a possible new theft of neutron bomb data in 1996, according to officials who took part in the meeting or read the highly classified materials used to prepare for it.

The briefing, these officials said, came weeks after the FBI gave the Energy Department a report about the spy's information.

David Leavy, a spokesman for the National Security Council, said that Berger and another NSC official who attended the 1996 briefing do not believe the nuetron bomb issue was mentioned. Leavy said that Berger did not learn of the suspicions until a more detailed briefing in July 1997.

More

Excerpt (recommend clicking and reading all):

Although he did not start work until July14, 1994, President Clinton allowed Huang to receive a top-secret security clearance in January of 1994.10 "Such a clearance was explained in a January 1994 memo as necessary `due to the critical need for his expertise in the new administration' of Commerce Secretary Ronald H. Brown."11 He retained that clearance even after he left the Commerce Department to become a DNC fundraiser.12

From his very first day on staff, Huang lobbied aggressively for Riady’s "wish list." "He also received 37 `intelligence briefings' and may have attended 109 other meetings, including some at the White House, `at which classified material might have been discussed.' "13

Huang also remained in close contact with Lippo, using offices provided by his former boss’ friend, James T. Stephens. Records show that within minutes of leaving a White House meeting, Huang would call Lippo or one of its holdings. Aside from numerous telephone calls, Huang also faxed documents from Stephens’ offices.14 "Stephens officials said A. Vernon Weaver, now the U.S. representative to the European Union and formerly head of the Stephens office in Washington, allowed Huang to use the office for personal business as a courtesy."15

would not surprise me in the least. Talked to a guy at nasa/ames who was walking down the hall when he noticed a chinese guy at the copier, copying stacks of paper, no security badge, no escort. He went immediatly to security and got only a lukewarm response.

Makes you wonder, neutron bombs? Did not work? Oh well just go back and get the info you need.

Don't we have a locked door anywhere?

Have another article dated April 8, 1999, from Cox News Service showing how Clintoon advocated China's entry into the WTO. This is prior to China obtaining Most Favored Nation status that Clintoon advocated too. The article is entitled CHINA'S ENTRY TO TRADE GROUP IN OUR INTEREST, CLINTON SAYS--Partnership will build peace, critics told as premier arrives.

According to the article, "China's admission into the WTO, the international body created in 1995 to regulate international commerce, is 'profoundly in our national interest.' Clinton said in hastily arranged speech to the U.S. Institute for Peace."

"International Commerce" translates to stealing your nation's secrets.

Anyone remember about the woman found naked and beaten to death in her locked office at Commerce, International Division; the police wrote it up as "natural causes"... Supposedly the bruises were caused by cancer medication that caused her to feel overheated, which is why she disrobed herself before dying... her mother denied that she was on any such medication, but what would she know...

Thats how they solve a brutal beating in Clinton-era DC; she died of cancer overnight in her office. And the press dropped it.

What was the story behind Sessions dismissal?

Sessions was dismissed the day before Vince Foster was found murdered.

Just a reminder - the Clinton's deeds continue to unravel.
I refer to the China Ocean Shipping Co (COSCO)that has taken
over the old Todd Shipyard in Long Beach. This was after
the Defense Department said NO to their use of the old
Naval Shipyard. Approximately 145 acres of containers
that hold what? Who will check each and every one? Remember
a couple of years ago they (COSCO) we caught smuggling 2,000
AK-47's up near Oakland - if I remember correctly.
Also, COSCO is partially owned by the PLA. What better
place for a spy headquarters considering all the defense
contractors within a 20 to 30 mile radius.

Following is a posting from AlohaRonnie in answer to one
of my former tirades!

**NEVER FORGET

...T'was we blessed Citizen Activists at Long Beach who STOPPED the Parade of China Army Money flowing thru HILLARY RODHAM's Palms from taking over our U.S. Long Beach Navy Base in 1997.

...After our Court-Forced Public Hearings, on our behalf, before the Port of Long Beach Harbor Commission, the U.S. Navy as well as our Public Comments before the Long Beach City Council (and Friend of HILLARY Long Beach Mayor BEVERLY O'NEILL-D)...

...we finally had to go to Senator JAMES INHOFE-R of Oklahoma to finally stop BILL CLINTON's "CLINTON Waiver" (That would have proclaimed COSCO in Long Beach no threat to our Natinonal Security) in Congress and thus the Deal.

1) I personally remember just how great it felt facing down Long Beach Mayor BEVERLY O'NEILL-D in my addresses before her Long Beach City Council against COSCO taking over the U.S. Long Beach Navy Base.

2) I personally remember pressing this Save our U.S. Long Beach Navy Base Issue thru my many Calls into:

~C-SPAN-TV's "Washington Journal"
~DUFFY & Compnay Talk Radio Show
~George Putnam Talk Radio Show,
and others.

3) I remember our Citizens' Letters and Postcards being sent to Conference Committee Chairman Senator INHOFE to kill the "CLINTON Waiver" that would have brought COSCO onto our U.S. Long Beach Navy Base as part of that year's National Defense Bill.

4) I particularly remember having pressed this Save our U.S. Long Beach Navy Base Issue on NET-TV (National Education Television) broadcasting from Washington, D.C with my Calls into its very good morning show hosted by Reporter MAJOR GARRETT -&- TOM FITTON, later of JUDICIAL WATCH, which I think may have helped prompt Senator INHOFE's getting involved. He ended up being interviewed on this NET TV Show about what he was doing in Congress to stop COSCO from taking over our U.S. Long Beach Navy Base.

5) I remember that just 2 Days after we were Victorious in stopping HILLARY RODHAM's "CLINTON Waiver" in Congrees with its removal from the 1997-98 National Defense Bill...

...Friend of HILLARY Long Beach Mayor BEVERLY O'NEILL announced she was FLATTENING our Long Beach Navy Base anyway without her even having a Steamship Company Tenant for it..!!!

...South Korea's HAIIJIN Steamship Company ended up finally moving onto a flattened U.S. Long Beach Navy Base in the Fall of 2002.

...HILLARY RODHAM, BILL CLINTON and Mayor BEVERY O'NEILL had planned on having COSCO occupying this same space by 1998. We gave a U.S. Long Beach Navy Base, that was crucial in supporting our U.S. Navy's role in protecting Freedom's Interests in the Western Pacific, an extra 4 years of life.

...WE TRIED. HILLARY RODHAM then ran for the U.S. Senate and is now running for President of the United States with the same $$$ backing she had during the 1990's.

...I remember starting out this story with my 1st Cavalry Division Troopship USNS ROSE stopping off for an 8 hour refueling at the U.S. Long Beach Navy Base in the summer of 1965 on our way to the 1st Major Battle of the Vietnam War, as recently depicted in MEL GIBSON's .."WE WERE SOLDIERS."

...This was after our having left a U.S. Charleston Navy Base that is now no more and traveling thru a Panama Canal that is now being operated by the very Communist Enemy we were then on our way to fight..!

...I also remember being blessed in assisting JOHNNY CHUNG's clearing of his name in the U.S. Long Beach Navy Base Case before Friend of HILLARY Long Beach Mayor BEVERLY O'NEILL and her entire Long Beach City Council where he asked them all if he was the one they dealt with in the CLINTON White House about the U.S. Long Beach Navy Base Case..?

...After their shaking their heads and telling him "NO" ..CHUNG had the patriotic Guts to stand there and ask them, as this City Council Meeting was being broadcast on Cable TV Citywide:

"Then since I am not the One, WHO IS..?"

A Question Federal Authorities have yet to make HILLARY RODHAM answer..!!!

GOD does indeed work His Miracles in very Loving Ways..?

This is only scimming the suface of the Clinton sewer. Their subversive activities have be documented from the Vietnam war on.

The China activity was ideologically driven NOT cash driven.

(Warning) IT STILL IS!!!

One reason why he had no qualms about selling our America was because he hates America.

This allowed him to tell himself it was all for a good cause........when in fact, he only cared about himself.

There will be a special place in hell for him and his wife.

The China activity was ideologically driven NOT cash driven.

Bingo.

That's why "follow the money" hasn't worked with these people.

We all must understand that the Clinton's never left the sixties. Their ideals were modified somewhat, and most certainly they adopted a new look, but to this day they remain faithful to their world citizenship. To the two of them, America is the enemy, and they adhere steadfastly to their goal of taking down the "military industrial complex".

I was a lefty in those years, and we used to sit around and plot the overthrow of the Great Satan by getting one of our own in the White House. We knew that we would have to have a special candidate, and we knew this person would have to be the ultimate con-man, a chameleon, a pied piper, and my how Bill Clinton filled the bill.

As we face the spectre of their return to power through Hillary's election, in addition to realizing that they are "ideology driven" and following the money may not always be useful, we must also know that they are not socialist. Anti-capitalist, yes but the sixties radicals were anarchists, not socialists, this is why Bill's modus operandi involved making our enemies stronger, much more than weakening America from within.
